| When I listen to this song, it feels like it's five minutes long because it just pulls you in. Great songs do that. | |

This part is especially great: The stars in the night, they lend me their light to bring me closer to heaven with you |

| It was leaked onto the internet. Really awesome song I must say. Different style, but really beautiful. | |

Heard the song live on youtube. The lyrics look pretty much right except for one or so parts. Sounds pretty awesome live; I can't wait to hear the album version. |

One last thought (possibly) from me. I think the: "Shh, quiet, you might piss somebody off" has a dual meaning in the song. The first is the more obvious meaning that all the people complaining and whining about the war and America and don't take any action should STFU. The second meaning is that what they are singing is going to piss people off because of the message it has, but the fact that M. Shadows goes on with the song shows that they could care less if people are offended by it. |

Upon more listening I think this is what the Rev is saying: Telling them it’s all for something real Don’t recite the words your speaking You've gone too far, Acclaim |

| In addition, I think the parts that the Rev sings (whatever it is he actually says, we'll have to wait for the official lyrics to be sure) are referring to the two-sided politicians who use the Iraq War to push their agenda, whatever it might be. I think its directed at both Democrats and Conservatives. | |

I've seen in videos of A7X they say that they aren't a political band and don't intend to become one so I really don't think it is a song bashing Bush, the war, etc. I think the song is bashing all of the people and anti-flag bands who bash on America but don't ever do anything constructive to help the situation. "pointing the fingers in every direction blaming their own nation for who wins elections theyve never contributed a fucking thing to the country they love to criticize" These are the most telling lines, IMO. "so how does it feel to know that someones kid in the heart of america has blood on their hands, fighting to defend your rights so you can maintain the lifestyle that insults this family's existance well, where I'm from we have a special salute we wave high in the air towards all those pompous asses who spend their days pointing fingers" This also supports the idea that they are bashing those that only point fingers and don't contribute to the solution. M. Shadows is pissed that people in America are making a disgrace of all the soldiers that fight for American's freedom and rights. Lyric wise, this is one of their most powerful if not the most powerful songs thus far. |

EXsOHs007, did you hear that somewhere or is that just your opinion? I haven't heard much by Pantera, but Walk is an awesome song so if they have that type of sound the album will be sweet. And Bat Country is the best song on this album, hands down. |
