Disturbed – Torn Lyrics 17 years ago
I think it's about having intense feelings for someone, could be a friend, boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever. You think and hope the feelings are gone because of all the shit and the pain they've put you through. This person might not necessarily enjoy the pain they inflict upon you, maybe they're just oblivious to it, but regardless it's still painful. So you hope and pretend these unrequited emotions are gone, but something happens that makes you realize those feelings have not left you, which only increases your pain...

Katy Perry – I Kissed a Girl Lyrics 17 years ago
This song is utter crap, lyrically and content wise. I have nothing against gays and lesbians, I just think its wrong to cash in by creating music that encourages this sexual confusion in the current generation. My sister who's a lesbian even said of this song "yeah I might do what she's talking about, but I wouldn't write a song about it." All of these idiots who prattle on about this being great representation of people experimenting with bisexuality need to get a clue. Just because you have a sexual encounter with someone and enjoy the feeling doesn't mean you're attracted to that person or that gender. Sex is supposed to feel good, regardless of who it is with...it doesn't mean you are attracted to women or could end up having a relationship with one. I'm sick of this bisexuality crap, it's all along the same lines as that Tila Tequila show...it's just for guys to beat off to, it is horrible representation for gays and lesbians. This kind of stuff is why we have so many young sluts as well as people confused about their sexuality...both gay people thinking they can somehow make themselves bi and thus "normal" to a degree, as well as straight people who think that a pleasurable experience with someone of the same sex makes them bisexual.

Fergie – Fergalicious Lyrics 18 years ago
Good god, what a tramp. How many songs does she need that brag about how sexy she is? If anything it sounds like she has a lack of confidence rather than an excess of it. Either that or she really is that convinced shes that sexy, mistakenly. Seriously, she looks like she's pushing 45. My mom is hotter than Fergie. Plus I am getting sick of this psuedo rap-talking shit. As far as anything of Fergie's I've heard, which mercifully has not been much, she can't sing for shit.

Fergie – Glamorous Lyrics 18 years ago
Another idiotic "oh yeah, I may be rich now but I'm still Jenny from the block" or fucking whatever. Why do these "artists" feel the need to assure their fans that they haven't been changed by all this materialistic bullshit? Sounds like they have something to hide. And I say this totally irregardless of what I think of Fergie as an artist, but I don't find her "glamorous" at all. In fact I find her to be quite unnattractive. Sure, in her videos she appears to have a great body, but her face is ugly. She really has no talent. This music is just more, using the word others used, presumptuous, narcissistic bullshit that simply fuels the materialistic culture that seems to be consuming America. Sorry if I'm over analyzing it, but I really hate shit like this...and Ludacris sounds like an idiotic twat, who is only furthering racial stereotypes and prejudices...as he does in all his music.

Linkin Park – Shadow Of The Day Lyrics 18 years ago
I heard this song just the other day on the way to work. When I heard the lyrics about "cards and flowers" I was reminded of something really personal that just happened to me a few months ago. A co-worker and friend of mine died, and she was suffering for years from cancer. I can imagine how much her family and all her friends both wanted her to live, but at the same time for her suffering to end. I think the song is about that, about not quite getting over death but accepting it as the only way, the ultimate goodbye. I think that it looks at death as not something cruel, but as the final peace that one achieves with the setting of the sun on their life. It's kind of bittersweet, since the person who has died will of course be missed, but in their death their pain is over. I think the song is about accepting that, and about dealing with such a profound loss. Although I see how the song could be about losing a friendship or a relationship it struck me as being something much more final than that...I wish this song had existed before she had died.
