Avantasia – What Kind Of Love Lyrics 17 years ago
Such a great song, the most overlooked on the new album. Alot of ppl give it shit because its a soft ballad but no one in the rock/metal genre does songs like these quite as well as Tobias Sammett, the dude just has a knack for writing these with all sorts of little musical twists and phrasings that give it that extra emotional punch. Probably one of his best ballads alongside The Story Ain't Over and Amanda Somerville is fantastic on it.

Avantasia – Lost In Space Lyrics 18 years ago
Actually, I think that the lyrics are more about feeling lost or out of place somewhere (or in life in general). I dont know the concept of the Scarecrow album yet and this song surely will fit into that album but by itself, thats the meaning I got from it. Great song, I dont see how it sounds like HIM, but HIM is a pretty good band so.... Great song imo

Avantasia – The Story Ain't Over Lyrics 18 years ago
Really great song - kind of sounds Meatloaf-y but that makes it great imo, very epic and powerful. Probably one of the best ballads Tobias has written to date.

I love the delivery of the last two lines here, Khan responding to the choir vocals - works really well.

Kath Bloom – Come Here Lyrics 18 years ago
The best moment in Before Sunrise was when the scene with this song came up - a great sequence. Simple song but its emotion is quite apparent, one of the best folk singer songwriter songs I've ever heard.

One of my favorite tracks on the new album, just got back from seeing them live a few hours ago too - they ruled, the last date of the american Ghost Opera tour down here in Houston - brilliant live band as well. Had a lot of fun (too bad they didnt play this track though)

Uncle Tupelo – Life Worth Livin' Lyrics 18 years ago
Can't believe no one else loves this song... so rare that a set of lyrics can so accurately describe what a person is feeling. This is the best song on No Depression.

Iron Maiden – For the Greater Good of God Lyrics 19 years ago
I love this song, definitily one the best things they've ever done easily. As much as a truly enjoy old school classic Iron Maiden, I love what the band have been doing on these last three studio albums since Bruce and Adrian rejoined the band - there are songs like this one (Brave New World, Blood Brothers, Dream of Mirrors, The Journeyman, Rainmaker) that are deeply reflective and about the greater theme of life.

Its like Maiden was influence by what Bruce was doing in his own solo albums, more introspective songs with deeper than usual lyrics. For the Greater Good of God sweeps me up in its drama every listen.

Bruce Dickinson – Arc Of Space Lyrics 19 years ago
to detective who said that the guitar picking was sped up, I dont think so bro, the guitarists on this album were Adrian Smith and Roy Z. Roy Z is if you recall also a guitarist in the Latin-rock band Tribe of Gypsies, he can play like a mofo. That acoustic solo he lays down in the middle of this song is all Roy Z demonstrating his skills - and its emotional, melancholic melody makes the song the powerful track it is (also thanks to Bruce's great vocal delivery ).

Bruce Dickinson – Tattooed Millionaire Lyrics 19 years ago
Fantastic song, one of Bruce's best, in fact, the entire Tattooed Millionaire album is severly underrated. Its a record he made with the intention of it being nothing more than a good quick rock n roll record. Janick Gers is incredible all over the record, and the solo on this particular song is blinding.

Some problems with the lyrics posted above however, the correct ones are below:

He's got a wife – she ain't no brain child
Ex mud Queen of Miami
In his stretch cadillac he keeps her in the back
With his CD player and his bottle of Jack
L.A. dude L.A. attitude

Additionally, ithe first line of the chorus is

I don't want YOUR big city shining

And the last line of the first verse is:

Same old GREED behind the P.R. smiles.

These lyrics were posted by a guy named bruce, jeez, you'd think he'd get it right of all people. =)
