Its true that different countries used the same style of guns but did other country often have name such as Emmy-Lou? The Southern United States is where those names origninated and the most significant conflict there was the Civil War. |

Bruce Springsteen – Adam Raised a Cain Lyrics

It should be "Adam raised a Cain". In the Bible Adam was the father of Cain and Able. And Cain killed Able, so I don't know if The Boss is saying that if someone is raised in a tought and violent household, then they are likely to do something that they will regret? |

If you find this concert, Live At The Gorge - July 22nd 2006 (Disc 2). They play a portion of Little Wing in the song, then round it out with the Star Spangled Banner. It is pretty sick. |

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Ohio Lyrics

I hate people like you who are convinced that the government is out to get us. The war in Iraq (Not Irak) is very similar to Vietnam, but we certainaly have not been brainwashed into accepting it. Vietnam was so hated because there was a draft, something some would argue is a direct violation of Democratic rights and ideals. If a draft was institued for Iraq, you would see mass protests. The government caused the protests against Vietnam and is doing things different now to make sure they don't come back to such a strong degree where the National Guard is brought in. |

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young – Southern Cross Lyrics

Stephen Stills wrote this about his boat trips in the Southern Atlantic because he is a huge yachter. It is called the Souther Cross because that is the route he took. It says it is a CSNY song, but this was written after Neil Young left, making it a CSN song. |

That is garbage. The lyrics when I first looked at it were riddled with mistakes so I took time to go and correct them. They then said, Itsyourownmind did it when I made sure the lyrics were perfect. This website sucks dick. |

Insane Clown Posse – Cleavland Downtown Lyrics

I think that it would be awsome if someone shot these two in the head, and a few people at their concerts. This "music" is degrading to the human race, and is the reason terrorists hate us. I would go as far as calling them both terrorists. |

Grateful Dead – Throwing Stones Lyrics

This is my favorite song, in a lyrical sense. It makes me think how much trouble we are in when a band wrote this in the late 70's early 80's, and it still applies today. Pretty sweet. |

Neil Young – Fuckin' Up Lyrics
|
These are the songs he wrote when he was sick were, "Down by the River" "Cinnamon Girl" and " Cowgirl in the Sand". This song was written to express what it is like to be a "Fuck up" in live. He depcits one as a mindless drifter who has no love or anyone who loves him. This final verse is just a scene that portreys a possible feeling of failure and self-loathing that the drifter feels. Neil often describes people who are helpless put themselves there with the assistance of drugs, especialy heroin. It's just what I think. |

Neil Young – Cortez The Killer Lyrics
|
Neil Young has a beautiful poetic peice of music with this peice, but it is very historicaly unaccurate. Cortez went to the new world in order to civilize the people. This is a noble idea but one that should not be taken to make Cortez a good man. He killed cities, but an estimated 10% of people who died were from his soldiers. The rest were killed by small pox, and other European diseases. The Spanish thought God was killing them for being Hethens, and that is why the killed them. This also made him think that they were worthy of being slaves. He treated them 100 times worse than the slaves in North America, all because he didn't have to pay for them.
But if Neil Young wants to tweak it to prove a point, It's ok with me, because he is God. |

Neil Young – Mr Soul Lyrics

I just found a Rush cover of this song. It's on their Feedback album if you want to check it out. I love covers, but you can't beat Neil. Just to say, he wrote this thats why he performed it without Springfield, and why he never performed For What it's Worth without them, because thats a Steven Stills song. |

What else could you expect from Old Neil and Crazy Horse. They rock so hard and have solos that could bring you to tears. I beleive that this is about a man lived happily with a crazy life. His music and possibly drugs make him wild, and this is intriguing to Neil. |

Warren Zevon – Roland the Headless Thompson Gunner Lyrics
| 17 years ago
|
Comon you guys, Roland is a fictional person, who is a symbol of the Thompson gun. The war he fought in was the Congo war. This is where Denmark was for a side of the county, the Congolees. They highered mercenarys to fight the war. I dont beleive that vanhoen existed, or if the CIA had any part in the war. It continues to explane that even after the conclution of a war it still has concequenses. The death of a man, and the brainwashing of Patty Hearst. The fact she heard the burst means she was exposed to warfare, and bought it means she accepted the way of life when she tried to rob a bank. This song is great because it combines symbolism, history, and somewhat comedic ideas. Warren Zevon in my view had some of the greatest lyrics and decent guitar. I wish i had seen him in concert before he passed. |
