The human mind is vulnerable to hallucinations, anyone who has studied the human brain can tell you this. These hallucinations can easily be misinterpreted to be religious experiences. Once we've had this "experience" we think of it as an epiphany. We think we are more enlightened by it, but it's basically just a psychological way for anyone who wants to believe in a religion to have justification for their beliefs that hold no value. Many of the people who say they've seen God or that God has talked to them, actually are fooled by this false hallucination and full heartedly believe that what happened to them can not be explained. A Christian might tell you that he spoke to Jesus, a Muslim might tell you that he spoke to Allah, etc. "it's all so relative." |

I'm not 100% sure on this but i believe this is a cover off of Pink Floyd's version. the song is really haunting and it plays in perfectly into the soundtrack for the movie "Mysterious Skin". |

in my top 5 favorite slowdive songs. it gives me the chills every time i listen to it. the lyrics are incredible, i agree that the song is about dreaming. specifically the mystery of the unconscious mind. the line "I'm here on my own" is haunting. there may be people in your dream but ultimately, they are just illusions, memories, and imaginations you have of them. |
