| Avenged Sevenfold – Eternal Rest Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| omgosh. that begninning solo = bare ass ownage. | |
| Opeth – Under The Weeping Moon Lyrics | 17 years ago |
| Yeah, the comment Mikael made on The Roundhouse Tapes made me look properly at the lyrics. And I agree, it sure doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Great song though. | |

| Rihanna can fucking die for all I care. | |

| Meshuggah – I Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I, this fractal illusion burning away all structure toward the obscene. I, to cleanse, to purge, to breach eternity and smother all life. Blind, these mortal men of clay, divine and dying in their harnessed form. I, this furnace of limitless hate. Bestial, pure. The pendulum swings semiattached to the centre of all. I drug these minds into ruin and contempt - the acid smoke of burning souls. This is an anomaly. Disabled. What is true? Not destined for incarceration, I crave my nothingness. The illness that they whisper of, is that what makes me fail? I see through the eyes of the blind. Not clear what it is to be this self I dread, the immense, the rabid I am. The cogs turn, grinding away at ceaselessness - willing it to dust. Re-disintegration. Convulse. A dead universe - impales the twilight. Fear aligns. Sadistic me. Meant to devour. Despair. Sickened by the fact that immortality is not mine to have. A snail along a straight razor - dividing itself through motion. I charge this feeble product of God. Laughing, drenched in the bile of millions. Chewing on the stinking flesh of the crown of creation. Solitude is splendor - has been rivalled. Shrouds stained with tar black vomit. Veiling the rotting eyes of the masses. The strain of armageddon evolves. Shifting through worlds from chaos, to chaos, to chaos. I devour this manure of existence - infertile, barren, whole. Rancid redeemer. Virulent deterioration of faith. Sacrilege in persona. In truth, fundamentally twisted. A witness to the savage carnage. A frenzy of animosity. The will to mutilate. Dominant deviation. The worship of the sick and degenerate will spread. I, the nihilist, not the lunatic Ridden by a godlike being of doubt Obliterating all hope of escape I enter the echoes of despair Miracles inverted by default, a reflex to devastate. Soaking in the will to violate, to castrate. Soiling the purpose of mankind. Deus ex machina on hold. The orgasmic, the splendid, the beginning of the end. Conception derived from misconceptions. The dimensionless features of truth. Silence in the core of undoing. Untie its knots and set it loose. The inertia of my existence is clear. Premutations of slaughtered worlds. I alone will behold the dying sky. A servant of eternity. Progress finally, emergence of doom complete. Here only to reverse the flow of life. I... |

| Killswitch Engage – Prelude Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm pretty sure there's some whispering in this, anyone know what he says? | |
| Opeth – Closure Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I'm surprised no one asked already... what on earth is "pathos"? o.O And Lateralus, what are you talking about? Clean vocals are a major part of Opeth. If you like Opeth, you gotta like both clean and death vocals. |
|

|

| Soulja Boy – Crank That (Soulja Boy) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
affy_tapple, do you think you're witty/clever/cool or whatever for quoting a FOB song? It's not original, think of your own comments for fuck's sake. FOB are crap anyway. Geeeeeez! Oh and this song is a disgrace to humanity and will destroy the world. |
|
| The Killers – Somebody Told Me Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Fuck you. | |
| Rihanna – Umbrella Lyrics | 18 years ago |

|
| Fall Out Boy – Chicago Is So Two Years Ago Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Fuck FOB. | |
| Soilwork – The Mindmaker Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Seems like it could be about a lot of things. What comes to mind first is that everyone's out to make a profit out of you, not caring about your feelings while doing so, and the refusal for anyone to do anything about it. But eventually the guilt catches up on them and they know they're in the wrong. I'm probably totally off but read the lyrics with that in mind and it should hopefully make sense. Awesome song, and that one opening riff is hella catchy. | |
| Kate Nash – Foundations Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"You said I must eat so many lemons Cause I am so bitter. I said I'd rather be with your friends mate 'cause they are much fitter." =\ terrible song. |
|
| Soilwork – Rejection Role Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"I'm a sinner, a winner, my blood is getting thinner..." I love the riff at that part. |
|

| Sort your lives out and get a grip... tossers. | |
| The Streets – Dry Your Eyes Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| You're all emo. | |
| Meshuggah – Elastic Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Good god that last part after the 5 minutes of static is manic. | |
| Slipknot – Dogfish Rising Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I think the title is blatantly inspired by Jethro Tull's album "Catfish Rising". | |
| Serj Tankian – Gratefully Disappeared Lyrics | 18 years ago |

| Ulver – Blinded by Blood Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Haunting song... seems to last forever o.O | |
| Ulver – Operator Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Haha, wow, this song really gives off a feeling of urgency as if someone is being rushed to a hospital in an ambulance or something, and the part after "hold the line" invokes a feeling of impatientness. Works really well. Love the solo as well... cool song =) | |
| Serj Tankian – Baby Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
I dunno but it just seems like a love song to me, to put it bluntly =) It's a great song anyhow (like every song on Elect the Dead). |
|
| Pink Floyd – Take It Back Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| I'm not entirely sure on the meaning, all I do know is that it's a fucking great song. Such a classic. | |
| Borknagar – Winter Millenium Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Beautiful song, one of Borknagar's best. When I read the lyrics I imagine some immortal shaman kind of guy who has wandered through snowy lands for thousands of years and he's just kinda describing what he has seen. | |
| System of a Down – Roulette Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Haha, I remember when I wrote that comment further up. I had problems back then (sorted now obviously lol). But yeah, great song... does anyone know who plays the violin in this song? | |
| Scissor Sisters – Comfortably Numb (Pink Floyd cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Ugh, I hate this song with a passion. Why do shitty bands have to piss all over the classics? Ick. Pink Floyd are one of the best bands ever, this is a disgrace to them. What annoys me more is that they probably didn't even know the story behind The Wall but went ahead and covered it anyway. "I mean i know it's techno, but they could have TRIED to keep some of the original flavor and not make it sound like some shit cranked out by a DJ on saturday night....." I completely agree with that. I think I'll just listen to the Pink Floyd and stay well away from this. |
|
| Caravan – Nine Feet Underground Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Actually, the correct title is "Nine Feet Underground/Nigel Blows a Tune/Love's a Friend/Make It 76/Dance of the Seven Paper Hankies/Hold Grandad by the Nose/Honest I Did!/Disassociation/100% Proof" at 22 minutes long. It's great, a masterpiece. | |
| Megadeth – Amerikhastan Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| It's "GI Joe", not "Jihad Joe"... unless it's a play on words. Which it probably is, since there's a few in this song. | |
| Metallica – The Unforgiven Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
"What I've felt What I've known Never shined through in what I've shown Never be Never see Won't see what might have been" I can relate to that as well, sadly. Great song, maybe one of Metallica's best. |
|
| Killswitch Engage – One Last Sunset Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Well, tristriam, that was a bit stupid. It probably doesn't mean anything. It's a great track, however. |
|
| Killswitch Engage – This Is Absolution Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| KSE rock. I love how a lot of their songs give a positive message (which is more than I can say about a lot of current popular music). Great song. | |
| Killswitch Engage – Holy Diver (Dio cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
*cover, not oover, lol. Dunno what's up with me today. |
|
| Killswitch Engage – Holy Diver (Dio cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Ahh, never mind. It's on the special edition of As Daylight Dies. | |
| Killswitch Engage – Holy Diver (Dio cover) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Since when did KSE do a Dio oover? o.O | |
| Kalmah – Man of the King Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
Life, black and white Without the red in my eyes Smile, toothless grin Before the king's inside me I want to believe to the power higher than we know But the scene is getting darker in everything I own So I will dive into dreamworld and clear everything And the things getting brighter 'Cause I am the man of the King Life, black and white Without the red in my eyes Smile, toothless grin Before the king's inside me You might say I´m nothing 'cause I get nothing done But do not deny me I have the strength within The people around you also follow the dream Take a look I am not the only one of the King [BREAKDOWN/SOLO] Hey, now I´m saved, from the world today I´ve found my way, to get away End, it is nothing 'cause I have sworn my oath Like the others I believe to the powered dream I don´t give a damn because I am the man of the King The hell with the rest, I am the man of the King Right, yeah I am the man of the King Simply the man of the King I think that's a bit easier to understand, lol. Amazing song btw. I'm too tired to think of a meaning... |
|
| Dimmu Borgir – Tormentor Of Christian Souls Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
No one cares if you're Christian or if it's offensive to you. Fuck off. |

| No. It isn't poorly made becuase of the different drummer, lol, the drummer sounds fine. It was obviously made before they got a record deal or something. | |
| System of a Down – Cigaro Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| This song means that SOAD own. | |
| Linkin Park – Given Up Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| One of the few decent songs on the new album. | |
| Eternal Tears of Sorrow – Flight Of Icarus Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Yes, this is an Iron Maiden cover. | |
| Opeth – Atonement Lyrics | 18 years ago |
|
First verse seems like he's come "down to Earth" ("Cleared the fog that was veiled around me and blurred my sights") and realising what he was doing was wrong. He doesn't feel the need to carry out what he promised to do for Satan ("Suddenly I'm no longer aching to honor my plights"). For those of you who don't know, a plight is a promise of some kind (I think...). Although in the second verse, as percussivemassacre said, it seems to relate to a werewolf. Hmm. |
|
| Slipknot – Circle Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Some say Slipknot sold out on Vol. 3. But, I think they really improved, both lyrically and musically. This is an awesome song. | |
| Porcupine Tree – Where We Would Be Lyrics | 18 years ago |
| Sleeper... you have described, down to the last word, EXACTLY what I'm worried about happening in my life. I'm not an adult yet (still at school), but I'm worried that in many years to come the exact same thing will happen. It's like this song is describing what I don't want to see myself as in ten years time. Strange. Great song though. | |
