Man of the King Lyrics

Life -Black and white / Without the red in my eyes / Smile -toothless grin / Before the king is inside me / I want to believe to the power higher than we know / But the scene is getting darker in everything I own / So I will dive into dreamworld and clear everything / And the things getting brighter 'cause I am the man of the King / Life -Black and white / Without the red in my eyes / Smile -toothless grin / Before the king is inside me / You might say I´m nothing cause I get nothing done / But do not deny me I have the strength within / The people around you also follow the dream / Take a look I am not the only one of the King / Hey, now I´m saved / From the world today / I´ve found my way / To get away / End -it is nothing / Cause I have sworn my oath / Like the others / I believe to the powered dream / Chorus: / I don´t give a damn because I am the man of the King The hell with the rest I am the man of the King / Right, Yeah, I am the man of the King / Simply the man of the King

I think that's a bit easier to understand, lol. Amazing song btw. I'm too tired to think of a meaning...

Well it is about escaping the hard real world into world of fantasy and delusion. Is that fantasy god and chritian faith or pink dragons, doesn't really matter. As it doesn't really effect the meaning.

Judging by the fact that religious connections can be found in many kalmah songs, it might be that.

But bottom line is, guy ain't able to face the world of today.

"the scene is getting darker in everything I own So I will dive into dreamworld

Hey, now I´m saved From the world today I´ve found my way To get away"

Escapism.

But then one thing points strongly towards chritian delusion.

"End -it is nothing Cause I have sworn my oath"

Christians have this belief that they are immortals "will to be blind that we all have to die".

Anyway, it is about man that is too weak to handle world as it is.

I don't think he's saying that this is the point of a man running away, since a lot of their lyrics contain Christian value's and ideas (why would he bash his own ideas). I think he's saying this is what he does...but I'm not positive.

Their songs don't actualy have christian values too much in them. They have christian stuff in them yes, but often the point of view is very critical. And this song too i actualy think is just from that point of view. As it quite clearly comperes belief to fantasy and dream that people choose to believe instead of the world of today.

Would add a bit more about their "christian values" If look same album and just skip one more song forward to Mindrust. Ain't it just about that, how dying man realises that the life was there. And all there is, is that life. No kindom coming... Only ashes remain under our names.

"The lesson of life we all have to die"

And that is the lesson he must learn.

To me that songs message is quite clear. No afterlife, and well that is against all that christianity is about.

This does seem like sarcasm over religion. The King might be a reference to God, but clearly in a sarcastic, critical way, "You might say I'm nothing cause I get nothing done, But do not deny me I have the strength within", "Hey, now I'm saved,From the world today, i've found my way, To get away ".

seems like religion is being made fun of

My Interpretation

It is about alcohol, getting drung and having hangover.
