Jimmy had been working on a solo for this song the night before recording, but couldn't get it right (so my friend says). The next morning he walks into the recording studio, swears a bit, and performs the solo perfectly on his first try, when he hadn't ever done it before. That is why this solo, at least, is the best in the world, and not one bit overrated.. |

i cant believe p daddy actually gets credit for this song... everyone likes this song, yet STING COMPOSED THE SONG, PERFORMED THE SONG, and really...made...the song what it is. p daddy comes and talks over the tune...wow...how hard is that. anybody can get someone to write lyrics for them and say it to a tune. oh well, i am content with listening to The Police's original version, you guys are missing out. |

GrantMitchell - Trail of Broken Hearts pretty much proves that they are capable of making different, slow paced songs, but are still magically captivating. and how can you say they are repeitious? they can fit 5 bloody solo's into one song, i've never known a band to do that! i laugh at crap like that. |

really? i've heard that they were just bloody amazing live(music-wise)! hadnt heard about that crazy bit though. This band is so amazing, each and every one of their songs is musical genius, they definately deserved my 2 cents, or my 1649.5c! I reckon this song is pretty big now-a-days, as its the song for that oh so popular rugby clip on every video clip broadcasting site on the net... rightfully so too. |
