lmao it isn't about sex! but I can understand why some of you would think so. they were interviewing Adam not so long ago and he was saying that this song is about being numb to everything around you. like when something bad happens, or when he gets hurt he would feel nothing. He wouldn't feel any pain at all. So in the song he's saying he'd rather feel the hurt, and rather feel the pain than not feel nothing at all. So rather than being numb, he'd prefer the pain because he's at least feeling something. |

A friend of mine and I were talking about this song and what it means and we came to the conclusion that we THINK it's about drugs. If you pay close attention to the lyrics you may think so as well. "No time for goodbye he said as he faded away Don't put your life in someone's hands Their bound to steal it away Don't hide your mistakes cause they'll find you, burn you Then he said." That right there seems to me that it could be about drug dealing. Don't put your life in someone's hands their bound to steal it away as in the person is a druggie you are continually buying and dealing drugs and in return that's basically taking your life away..you're fading away.. OR The guy is fading away as in he no longer wants to be apart of the dealing/drugs and wants to just get away from it all. He's realizing what it's doing to him and just wants to get out..'get out alive' This is my last time she said as she faded away It's hard to imagine but one day you'll end up like me Then she said.. To me that means she's overdosed or done drugs for so long and is dying. She's telling the person if you continue doing what you're doing you're going to end up just like me. If I stay it won't be long till I'm burning on the inside If I go I can only hope that I make it to the other side I think that means he, the person with the drug problems wants to get out but doesn't know if he can. If he stays and continues to do what he does he knows it's going to further mess him up, and if he goes he can only HOPE that he makes it to the other side as in either getting clean, or literally making it because when dealing with drugs you can't really just stop dealing because most of the time the dealers and such will try and kill you. Therefore If you wanna get out alive, oh run for your life makes perfect sense. |

This song is actually about a close friend of Adam Gontier *the lead singer of 3DG* I was listening to 3DG on the radio talking about their new album and Adam said this song is very personal to him and his favorite on the album. He was saying that one of his close friends came up to him awhile back and told him that he hated his life and felt that there was nothing to live for or no point in it so he wanted to end it. Adam wrote this song for him stating it's not too late..never too late to turn your life around and see the better things in it. |
