On My Own Lyrics
I walk alone
Think of home
Memories of long ago
No one knows I lost my soul long ago
Lie too much
She said that she's had enough
Am I too much?
She said that she's had enough
Standing on my own
Remembering the one I left at home
Forget about the life I used to know
Forget about the one I left at home
I need to run far away
Can't go back to that place
Like she told me
I'm just a big disgrace
Lie too much
She said that she's had enough
Am I too much?
She said that she's had enough
Standing on my own
Remembering the one I left at home
Forget about the life I used to know
Forget about the one I left at home
So now I'm standing here alone
I'm learning how to live life on my own
Lie too much
I think that I've had enough
Am I too much?
She said that she's had enough
I'm standing on my own
Remembering the one I left at home
Forget about the life I used to know
Forget about the one I left at home
So now I'm standing here alone
I'm learning how to live life on my own
Forget about the past I'll never know
Forget about the one I left at home
Think of home
Memories of long ago
No one knows I lost my soul long ago
She said that she's had enough
Am I too much?
She said that she's had enough
Remembering the one I left at home
Forget about the life I used to know
Forget about the one I left at home
Can't go back to that place
Like she told me
I'm just a big disgrace
She said that she's had enough
Am I too much?
She said that she's had enough
Remembering the one I left at home
Forget about the life I used to know
Forget about the one I left at home
So now I'm standing here alone
I'm learning how to live life on my own
I think that I've had enough

This is my favorite song on the album, hands down! 3DG are so powerful! When I heard this song for the first time, the pre-chorus gave me chills!
For me it's about realizing that you made mistakes and not letting it dictate your future. He realized that he screwed up his relationship, but instead of sulking in the pain, he chooses to pick himself up and start anew!
I think this song is about a man, drugs, and a woman. Adam's wife was saying how she's had enough. But Adam still lied about the drugs when he was still taking them. So he went to rehab where he soon learned how to live life on his own.
This song is about the lead singers friend, who when she was younger, was molested.
This is the actuall meaning of the song to him and what he wanted it to mean, but it means something else to everybody, thats the magic in their music.
It's like how it is now for me. I just wanna leave, everything. Everyone. Change completely, coz I can't stand it anymore.
i love this song! omgosh but the beginning sounds like a country song...werid..but it still rocks like none other! THREE DAYS GRACE KICKS ASS!
For me this song stands for that a man is standing on the edge of his previous life and he looks at his past, he recalls all the pain he cost on himself and others, and realizes that he has to move on, forget everything, whetever he likes it or not
Amazing song! Every song on the album is great to me. This one is pretty self explanatory but yeah great song.
I think it's someone thinking about all the people who have abandoned him because of mistakes he's made, and realising that doesn't matter anymore they just need to get up and start off on their own again. fish n' chips Tineke
err i think this song is about what adam thought would happen if Naomi (his wife) told him to leave or she left him. i dunno but thats what i think...
i love the quivery voice thing in this song, it send shivers up my spine
