Dethklok – Goodbye, Snowy Road Lyrics | 16 years ago |
These lyrics are very wrong. I tilt my hat, say goodnight to the lovely lady dressed in white. A snow white princess in the night. Oh it makes me so sad, parting with my albino friend. All good things. They must end. Goodbye snowy road. Oh the tears they make me so sad. You know I can not take it no more. Rockso the clown sang this. It's his sad farewell to the blow. It's probably a parody of Elton John's Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. |
Dethklok – The Lost Vikings Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The meaning of this song is that men should swallow their pride and ask for directions. |
John Lennon – Imagine Lyrics | 16 years ago |
The lyrics are about living your life unbound by gilded chains. |
Rihanna – Unfaithful Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Okay boys and girls. You can stop bashing Rihanna over this song. She's singing about a girl cheating on someone from a first-person perspective, but that does NOT necessarily mean she is really doing it. It's just a story! Here's how I see it. The girl in the song fell deeply in love with a man, who loved her deeply back. He's still entrenched in his amorous feelings for her, but she's realized she doesn't love him as deeply as she thought he did. She met another man, and slowly began falling in love with him... She still loves the first man, but isn't IN love with him. This new man pushes all the right buttons and she's entirely smitten with him and the fact that she can't be with him is tormenting her, but the fact that it's wounding her original partner so grievously is tormenting her as well. She can't leave him because she still loves him, very much, but she can't bring herself to leave the man she's fallen in love with either. This song describes a tragedy. It's nobody's fault but it happens to people a lot. It's called a love triangle. |
Dio – Don't Talk To Strangers Lyrics | 17 years ago |
You know a really good way to get the meaning of this song? Ask the man himself! Dio participates in on-line forums. Ronnie, man, do you come here? Do you get a good chuckle out of these boards? What do you think when you read our reviews? Are you there buddy? You've got about a million good friends here who'd be overjoyed to hear from you. |
Vertical Horizon – Everything You Want Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Jeez, it just occurred to me, that in the animated television show "Undergrads", the female character Jesse was to Nitz what the male singer in this song is to the girl he wants to be with. In the show Undergrads, the male character Nitz had a crush on a girl he'd been in highschool with named Kimmie who'd never shown a real interest in him. In College, Nitz met a girl named Jesse, and it was clear from their personalities that they'd be a great match. However, their relationship remains unrequited, as Nitz continues to clumsily pursue a relationship with Kimmy, which never blossoms. In the end of season 1, as Jesse is leaving campus at the end of the semester in a car, she launches a scathing diatribe at Nitz from the car window because he ditched her at some crummy party in an attempt to get together with Kimmy somewhere else. So yeah it's a funny gender-flip of the circumstances in this song. |
Vertical Horizon – Everything You Want Lyrics | 17 years ago |
"echoes of angels that won't return" She's still hung up on somebody who she used to be with. Now she's with a new guy, and he's "everything she wants" and "everything she needs" but he means nothing to her, and she doesn't know why. He means nothing to her, because she's still in love with somebody who's no longer in her life, and she can't forget him. The man she's with now is becoming frustrated, because her heart is already occupied and he can't find a place in it. |
A1 – Caught in the middle Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Looks like a gay love triangle! And then one of them found a woman he likes, and they're all broken up about it. Look at the lyrics... |
Tally Hall – Banana Man Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think that in this song the banana is being used as a metaphor. Please view the video on Albinoblacksheep and see the part near the end when he is eating the banana in reverse. This seems to symbolize the end of his little holiday and a return to daily life. In this case the banana would represent freedom and cutting loose, and Banana Man would represent... Who? What? |
Bryan Adams – I Will Always Return Lyrics | 17 years ago |
This song could be about a person, but I think the song is more about a place that you love so much you don't want to be away from it, a homeland so intimate to you it feels as though it's calling your name over great distances. |
GWAR – Maggots Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think this is about Slipknot maggots in some form. Opinions? |
GWAR – Anti-Anti-Christ Lyrics | 17 years ago |
You guys didn't read it very carefully. Two lines sum it all up. Religion is for the weak A haven for the lame They do not believe in any of it. They crush the antichrist because there is no Christ and there is no anti-Christ, it is all so much offal. And look at this line: Or maybe it's nothing at all, Lost prophecy of the peasant-whore. They went right out there and said "Holy pergancy my ass, the 'virgin' Mary was a fucking whore, that's how she got pregnant with that little fuck." Who did you THINK 'peasant whore' referred to? They are saying religion is so much bullshit. |
