Matt Duke – Tidal Waves Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Love this song. I can't tell whether it's religious or satirical, but it's beautiful. |
Self Against City – Take It How You Want It Lyrics | 16 years ago |
This song sounds to me as though a girl cheated on him in some way and rather than defending herself she just told him that it meant nothing and he could do what he wanted, knowing the truth. Then the same thing happened but the other way around, whether by coincidence or for revenge and he said the same thing to her. I might have totally made that all up, but that's just what I interpret the song to mean. |
Renee Renee – Driving Lyrics | 16 years ago |
Loooovvvve this song. Reneee Renee is awesome and hillarious. |
The Mamas & the Papas – Dancing Bear Lyrics | 16 years ago |
I think the chimney sweep part refers to the time in the 19th century when orphan boys or boys that were sold by their parents who were sent up chimneys to clean them. They often died before their teens as they had developed lung cancer and diseases of that sort. I think this song is supposed to be from the point of view of a boy in this position who is answering a question along the lines of, "If you could be anything in the world, what would you be?" |
The Legion of Doom – I Know What You Buried Last Summer (Senses Fail vs. Taking Back Sunday Lyrics | 16 years ago |

This song is lovely and chilling. I adore it. |
Motion City Soundtrack – Hangman Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I really adore Mark Hoppus in this song. It's a great song in general, but as aforementioned by someone else, Mark Hoppus totally changes my outlook on this song. Amazing. |
Cobra Starship – It's Warmer in the Basement Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Okay, is it just me or does anyone see some kind of allusions to a waitress job in this song? That is, in a line of every verse tends to remind me somewhat of something you might hear in a restaurant: "You know I tip good" "I never bounce a check" "You want some bread now?" This may just be a coincidence the point he's trying to prove while talking to this girl, but when I first heard the song, it really seemed as though he had possibly a waitress that was rude to him and he wanted to, like, punish her? I know that all sounds ridiculous but it's a ridiculous band, so hey :) p.s. I love this song very much . |
Avril Lavigne – One of Those Girls Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Okay, so depending on whether she's saying "you'll be broken, she'll be gone" or she's saying "you'll be broke & she'll be gone", this song could either be about a heartbreaker or a, like, a thief. Yes? |
Tila Tequila – Fuck Ya Man Lyrics | 17 years ago |
hehe |
Mae – This Time Is The Last Time Lyrics | 17 years ago |
I think it's definitely about someone going to jail or death row. It's from the point of view of a someone who's watched their friend toil their life away going to jail until they've done something so terrible that they are being sentenced to death. I don't have much prove to back this up other than the lyrics: "You can exit out the back and make your getaway before anyone can see the damage you have done." "State your case. You've got everyone's attention. What can you say? Thanks or forget what you've been given." "Oh I get lost in the thought of losing you." I just think it all adds up really well.. does it not? |
Punchline – Wars Will Always Happen Lyrics | 17 years ago |
Obviously about the war in Iraq. "But look around at all of their faces They all look just like us So all hail the king for trying" I think he's saying they're fighting each other when they should really fight their leaders who are forcing them into a horrible oblivion fighting people just like them. Like, why did Bush put us in this war? |

Hit the Lights – Until we get Caught Lyrics | 17 years ago |
What does "our backs against the wall" mean?? |
Hit the Lights – It's All The Rage Lyrics | 17 years ago |
At first I thought this song was about being fake, but now I think there's an obvious point in that there's a girl who doesn't respect herself because she's been treated badly her whole life so when she's treated badly by other people it's familiar and though she hates it, it still makes her feel comfortable. s |
Renee Renee – Paper Doll (featuring Mark Hoppus) Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I love this song so much |
Quietdrive – Maybe Misery Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Firstly, I love this song. A lot. Secondly, I can't quite interpret the meaning, but I feel like either he feels as though he's being taunted by a girl who likes him but he is too afraid to make the first move or wants to stay in his misery because it's the comfort he knows, or maybe the girl doesn't actually like him but is pretending to for some reason and he can see through her act? I don't know, it's a bit on the confusing side just because the lyrics pretty much jump from one thing to another.Nonetheless, I love this song. Great song.A |
Angels and Airwaves – The Adventure Lyrics | 18 years ago |
Brilliance. Purely. I didn't even realize the whole connection with each other in the two songs until visiting this site to see the lyrics and opinions that people have on these songs, as i always do. anyway, after reading these comments, I think it's deffinitely possible that theyre speaking to each other in both the adventure and No It Isn't. It's just unfortunate that they have to do it through the bands that they have branched off into after splitting from the amazing one that so many kids, like myself, fell back onto for support and a good laugh. So, in conclusion... AvA may be amazing. And Plus-44 may be amazing. And both of them may be better than anything that Blink could have aspired to.. But we all know, that it will never even if these two bands are the most amazing in the world, the two of them put together will never be the same as blink-182. Tha's all =) love, sara. |
Box Car Racer – Letters To God Lyrics | 18 years ago |
I'm not sure if this is going to sound crazy or if other people agree with this because I haven't read any of the other posts, but this song kind of sounds to me like he's talking about all the bad stuff he's done and not wanting to go to hell for it. Like, as if he's saying he's really messed up but he can fix it if he can have another chance. ok, that's all :) |
American Hi-Fi – The Geeks Get The Girls Lyrics | 18 years ago |
