I think he's saying they're fighting each other when they should really fight their leaders who are forcing them into a horrible oblivion fighting people just like them. Like, why did Bush put us in this war?
i agree that this song is about Iraq. I'm not too sure what it's totally about but i'm thinking that it's more along the lines that the guys in the desert are fighting only because they've been told to.
These guys are like you and I and here they are dying in a place no one knew about until the year 2001. i mean, how many people do you know that went to Iraq? I'm pretty sure these guys knew a few and i bet your brother's friend knew a few, too...
