Rommel was a WWII Nazi Germany general. He was famous for his tank, and defensive tactics. Eventually he tried to kill Hitler with others and when it failed he was killed (basically) so not just any guy! |

They did die right after T4E. Neil's daughter on August 10th 1997, and his wife on June 20 1998. For reference T4E was released September 1996 and RTBs was released in September of 1991.
On a different note I read somewhere that the song La Vie Boheme from the musical Rent was somewhat inspired by this song. The whole fast talking listing of different people and things etc. Has anyone heard that? or can confirm? Thanks for the help. |

Fantastic song about the reality of religion, although people may try as they may to do the whole "peace thing" people are constantly slipping up and failing. If you really want to live in Christ's image and be a true Christian you must go against the killing, the lieing and all the problems and embrace the idea of working fro the kingdom by living in Christ's image. This song spells out what all Christians should be. |

I am inclined to believe that this song is about the book Faust. Mephostophles as a term for the devil origanates from this book and the Greek philosophy that is referenced is in fact in the book. Also the whole theme of the book is that the devil will receive Faust's soul when he dies if the devil can make Faust one with self to put it blutly. In the end the devil that is serving as Faust's servant, the devil's goal is to become the master in the afterlife. Just my interpretation. |
