This song is about Seville, which is a city in spain. It was a port town, but it sits inland a ways. It was no longer used as a port after the water way by it was filled wit silt. People were attracted to the city due to it being a trade route with Spain and America. The good from America brought lots of people there. There was a time in the mid 1600's when a plague decemated seville and ended up killing about half of the population. A few years after the plague hit revolts broke out and bread became scarce and really expensive. This song, I think is about this event and how the people who are not so wealthy were unable to live. This song in particular is about a little girl whos parents probably died from the plague and she is left and will soon die also. Seville was also really into religoins and I would guess Sheena Bella is some sort of prayer. This is my take on this beautiful song. |

Hah hah, I just was checking this out and saw 764-mauser's comments. What a dumbass, I bet he hasn't heard ANY other songs except fortress. In which case I could see where he is coming from, this song is so unlike a so many of their other songs, a lot more shallow, so people like him can listen to it. Other songs, like Grey-Machine, REALLY deep. It all depends on how you look at it, to see meaning or not. mouser, obviously does not. |

It fels to me like this is about religion. And realizing it isn't for real. They found flaws and errors. People are slaves to religion, but he is leaving "See you later chain pulling man." He is no longer a slave. Read through very carefully with this in mind. Then you will see what I am talking about. |

This song is about how people try to make money off of everything. Even off of things we should be taking for granted. The first few lines make it clear. People make money off of selling space and time. We are paying for our existence. It's about how terrible capitalism is. He's depressed about it, so am I. We all should be. We are having to pay, to be taxed for everything until we have nothing left. Life tax. I'm depressed about it . . . |
