Someone coming off drugs maybe? The Brave New World could be a life fee and clean of drugs, "I hope i see you on the other side" could be speaking of a gf/mate who is trying to stop at the same time and he hope that he/she can do it aswell along with him. Just my take on it. |

Graham Coxon seems to go unnoticed for some reason and in my opinion he is one of todays best guitar players out there, atleast he can actually play an instrument unlike some of todays so called "pop stars" |

I love this song so much, its about even although someone has passed away they will awlays be with you looking out for you. "And now she lives in heaven But I know they let her out To take care of me" I also think its about someone who has been ill, they are here suffering and as much as he dosent want her to go on suffering and she would be better dead, he at the same time wants her here with him, but knows that heaven is better for her as the suffering has ended for her. "You went to a better place but He stole you away from me" There is so much in the song that most people could relate to it in some way or another and its a very peacful way of saying goodbye and that we will be together again soon :) |

I can see this song being about drugs probably heroin. "I got caught up in all there was to offer And the cost was so much more than I could bear" At the start you can afford it, but as your habit grows you need more and more until it becomes unafordable. She knows shes done wrong and that she is at her lowest point and the last thing she needs it people pointing it out too her. "Though I've tried, I've fallen... I have sunk so low I have messed up Better I should know So don't come round here And tell me "I told you so..." No one wants to know or be seen with her now that the drugs have taken over, she is then saying it could happen to anyone just as easy all it takes it one wrong move. "I'm lost to those I thought were friends To everyone I know Oh they turned their heads embarassed Pretend that they don't see But it's one missed step You'll slip before you know it And there doesn't seem a way to be redeemed" Just my own personal take on it and i could be totaly wrong, buts its an excellent song all the same :) |

Another great song by David Gray, well heres my opinion about what its about, its about someone he loved who he has lost the only way he can see her is close his eyes and imagine her "Gonna close my eyes, Gonna watch you go" also the "repo man" i think this could be God as he has reposed her from him and taken her too heaven. Then as the song goes on you can see he is starting to miss her more and regrets all the things he didnt get too say and he feels like hes dieing without her "These things I might have said only wish I could Now I'm leaking life faster than I'm leaking blood" |
