Its Gods promise (of salvation/eternal life and whatnot) to Jesus. Its Gods plea in to those vital moments when Jesus could have given in and got himself out of trouble. God was assuring Jesus he was doing the right thing, and thus God would keep his promise back to Jesus.

I don't quite know what a Ballad is, but being a fan, and based on my own and others reactions while listening to this song and seeing it live, I would say this song could claaify as a KOL ballad. I goodled the word and looked it up in the dictionary, but yea, I think this is a KOL ballad. Anyone else agree? |

Yea, In Sex Ed a couple years ago in school they were teaching about something like a 2-year grace period. Meaning that someone who is 16 can have sex with someone who is 14 or someone wot is 18, I think. Its been a long time and I can't remember. |

I believe some of the lyrics are wrong. Nothing major, but anyway, here's my input:
1. Instead of "...Like September..."-it should be "...Black September..."
B. In stead of "...open Brighter..." it sounds like "...Burn Brighter..."
Omega: this one might not be completely correct, but instead of "seen all along, but its there if need" you needed" I hear "Feel all alone, but its there if you need it"
But yea, I guess the part of them being from Sweden (which I think is amazing) could help with misinterpretation |

Has anyone ever thought that this song isnt about him breaking up with his girlfriend. Theres nothing about a break-up in the lyrics. I believe he wrote this song for his mother. Especially when his mother calls before the song begins. Im gonna go with jharding and say its a song to his mother. although she still loves him, and he still loves her but doesn't want to hurt her anymore.

I know it sounds typical oof most songs, but I think thins song is about Suicide. Basically, I think he is trying to drown himself in his bathtub. The first couple of lines be a subconsious vision (like seeing your life flash before your eyes.). He could be debating whether he will go ahead with the act or whether to simply breathe. but the lines where he says "theres an ugly buzz..." means that as soon as he breathes the air, the noise will start again, and "I found a way to make it silent" strikes me as his decision to breathe the WATER. If you listen to this song, it is kind of soft, but the chorus and especially the word "AIR" is loud. This could examplify his testiment that the air is loud and drowning will be soft. So he does drown. And as soul leaves body, he is "coming up for air". Then his parents find him in the bathtub and try to revive him. Finally, His father (or someone) tells his mother (or someone else) that its over. He has drowned, screaming and CPR and what-have-you wont work. I have to go now...let me know what you think...

I watch VH1 Hits everyday to see this song...and a lot of others...theres a lot of good music on there. I love it...good song...its about just doing what you feel like, knowing your not perfect and not trying to be. |
