| Empires – Midnight Land Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
correct lyrics: I could not fathom your release. Oh it was crazy, sinking from the three. Oh he’s been watching, watching idly Why you were shaking in despair. He knows you come to find his caring stare. oh you went fast to the midnight land. Among the dark host, he took your hand. And did you find out what it’s really like? Victim of trickery, a warm mis fortune, Stay down. I bet it burns now. and I bet it burns, and I bet it burns, and I bet it burns now. Now it’s numb in my head, when I think about your trek. Can I feel your fiery breath? I’ve been cold so I go throw my flesh to your coals. When did you go? I’m all alone. I see my bones. Welcome me to your home. I bet it burns, I bet it burns, I bet it burns, now. Tearin’ through the evening, I call your name. I call and wait the dammed are answering. Staring through the demons, I know your eyes, but not that smile. You tricked me into you. |

| Empires – Valmont Lyrics | 17 years ago |
|
ohh also, some of the lyrics are wrong. correct ones: In the time I had you dressed in silhouette, We had both been dark and heart obsessed. You followed as I fell, and you dug inside my chest. You told me just to breathe, but you stole my breathe. Once again our plot is thick, To ex-lovers dropping quick. Look so franticly for the fix, No syringe could ever give. Well i just let it right in. So damn tragic, so fantastic. To the great heights of vanity. We can climb high, and reign. Deceit on the poor fools. our pleasure deep. Oh what fine fools, we smile and bleed. Smile and bleed. I can feel you in my veins. A danger I will take. You run around my secret inner maze. I wont ever let you out, and you won’t wanna leave. Destructive is the way we want to be. Keep it hoaldin’ to me. So damn tragic, so fantastic. |

EXCELLENT Cover! You've never let me down Panic! =] |

| All Time Low – The Party Scene Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I agree with all the above posts. I think its about growing up, and how you can't just constantly make stupid mistakes. You have to let go of the times when you were 17 when all you did was party and get drunk. 'Stay seventeen, The party scene has got the best of me and you, We've got to let this go...' Basically like saying 'welcome to the real world kids'. This is my favorite song from the album. I can't wait for these guys to get big =] |

| Paramore – Franklin Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
My favorite Paramore song. I can relate it to my life because we moved from Canada across the world, and I feel exactly like these lines: And when we get home we won't be home at all This place we live it is not where we belong And I miss who we were and the town we could call our own Going back to get away after everything has changed The singing in this song is gorgeous. I think its a song that can relate to a lot of people in different ways. Thats what makes it so great. |

| Motion City Soundtrack – Everything Is Alright Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I actually think that he is fighting with depression or a sickness, and even though the line says, 'Tell me that your alright', hes actually asking himself. He answers with, 'Ya, Everythings fine.' So this whole song is directed to himself and hes asking himself if hes fine to see if he has progressed from the illness. Even though it seems like hes asking someone else, its all him. Just my thoughts. |

| Paramore – Emergency Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Its great hearing a female singer who actually has some strength and energy in her songs. Usually female singers sing about how they are nothing without a boyfriend, complain complain, etc. Hayley has an amazing voice. Definatly a band worth listening too! I love this song along with 'Pressure', 'Franklin', and 'Brighter'. | |
| Fall Out Boy – Champagne for My Real Friends, Real Pain for My Sham Friends Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I agree with Camel_Fish. And I absolutely love the title of this song, very well written! I'd have to say this is one of my favorite songs on the CD and deserves more credit. I especially love the verse: They say, "You want a war? You've got a war." But who are you fighting for? I think it means that people just want to start an argument when there is no point in it at all. Or maybe its about taking sides...I'm not sure. |

| The Hush Sound – Lighthouse Lyrics | 19 years ago |

| Cute Is What We Aim For – I Put The 'Metro' In Metronome Lyrics | 19 years ago |

This is my favorite CISWWAF song! I love, especially the tune of the chorus. I agree with sever_lyricist and rmak98. I never noticed that the lyrics could be taken sexually...hmm |

| Jessica Simpson – A Public Affair Lyrics | 19 years ago |

Yeah, ditto to LostCause2712. Its basically girls partying and going out, etc. The only reason I like this song is because of the tune in the chorus. |

| Panic! at the Disco – Camisado (Relax, Relapse) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Oh, and I forgot to add something else to my post which is the 10th one on this page: I re-read the lyrics and forgot this verse: "You're a regular decorated emergency The bruises and contusions will remind you what you did when you wake You've earned a place atop the ICU's hall of fame The camera caught you causing a commotion on the gurney again." I'm thinking the 'regular decorated emergancy' might mean that alot of alchoholics come in and it starts with teen drinking to fit in...although everyone else's theory about suicide seems to fit in better =S The bruises part might mean that while Ryans dad was drunk, he got into a lot of fights, maybe even with his own family... He earned the top place from causing so much damage, and hes making a commotion because hes drunk... I really which Songmeanings had an edit button so we could just edit our posts instead of having to re-post if we forgot something -_- |

| Panic! at the Disco – Camisado (Relax, Relapse) Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
I heard that Ryan said this song was about his father being an alcholoic. I'm starting to see it now: Maybe his father has to go under medication in the hospital because of his problem: "Can't take the kid from the fight Take the fight from the kid" This might mean that his fathers like a child, and if you can't take him away from the alchohol, you'll have to take the alchohol away from him, and it's all just a fight for himself. "It's not so pleasant And it's not so conventional It sure as hell ain't normal But we deal, we deal" That might mean that even though his fathers condition is not pleasant, he and his family have to deal with it. "The I.V. and your hospital bed This was no accident This was a therapeutic chain of events" I think this part means that the whole situation couldn't have been an accident, because thats the outcome of alchohol. And a therepeutic chain of events is something you take again and again to make you feel better, and that might be the alchohol. His father was drinking day after day, and he got his outcome of having to go to the hospital. Anyhoo...just my thoughts xD Amazing song! |

| Buck 65 – Devil's Eyes Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| Your right, it is like an electronic version of The White Stripes! But I dont get this song, you have the line 'Living with me in my dreams', which made me think that it's all just imaginary, or maybe that their dead, along with everyone else in the world, and all we are doing is imagining. In the video clip, it shows multiple crim scenes, and snapshots of people...but I still dont get it. Great song either way! | |
| Panic! at the Disco – But It's Better If You Do Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Love this song, along with every other Panic! song. But I was expecting more from this video clip after seeing "I write Sins not Tragedies" video clip. In the "I write sins.." video clip, it took some thinking and there was a load of symbolism, like with Brendon being the grooms conscience, and the groom becoming the ring leader, etc. But this video clip is very straight forward. Either way, excellent song. And great job of putting this with 'Lying is the most fun.." to make the 'Closer' movie quote! |

DeCorAteDemergency: Wow Thats Brilliant! Woot, Your really good at matching things up! Thats probably the best theory I've ever heard about a song/video clip! It all makes perfect sense now ^_^ Anyone who dosn't get this song or the video clip, just go to page 3 and read DeCorAteDemergency's post!! Btw, I like your username, its my favorite line in Camisado! =P |

| Metric – Poster of a Girl Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I totally agree with Sinstone and Lexi1987. I love this song, and I also agree with the Doppelganger Theory, because in the video, there were two Emilys: One was walking around the streets alone, and one was up on stage preforming. When their eyes met, the street Emily either fainted or died..(I dunno which one) | |
| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 19 years ago |

For some reason I think Brendon and the lead singer of The Killers look verryyy alike. Actually, when I first saw a picture of Panic! At the Disco, I thought it was the lead singer of the Killers. And their names are close too..Brendon, Brandon..lol Anyway, question: Why does he say 'Again'? Whats it supposed to mean? Oh, and is it just me or when he sings '...with a sense of poise and rationality' it sounds like 'with poison and rationality'? Maybe hes trying to act calm, but really wants to poision the bride =P |

| Panic! at the Disco – There's a Good Reason These Tables Are Numbered Honey, You Just Haven't Thought of It Yet Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
Wow I love this song! I wonder how he manages to keep his breath throughout the whole 'When you're in black slacks with accentuating off-white pinstripes, whoa-oh' and still make it sound good..lol. I love the snapping in the 'Im a Diva' line..haha. Anyways, I agree with all the previous posts about what the song means, and I really like the sheep theory ^_^ hehe |

| Panic! at the Disco – Nails For Breakfast, Tacks For Snacks Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
But How does this song connect to the title 'Nails for Breakfast, Tacks for Snacks?' Is it because life is all pain....? I'd also think the song would be better if it had more background music...it seems kinda plain to me..but I still like it |
|
| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 19 years ago |
|
^ Just wanna add that If you notice, in the video: 1. The brides side are proper people, whereas the grooms side is circus people. (like I mentioned above) 2. The door of the chapel stays open after the grooms family comes in, and stays open throughout the clip..so maybe if they 'closed the door', the bride wouldn't run out 3. Since Brendon is the grooms concience, I think their supposed to look alike 4. In the end, the groom turns into the ring leader I read most of these on earlier posts...but I still dont get in the video what its supposed to mean when Brendon mouths 'Yes' when hes next to the groom, and then the fat guy blows sparkles or dust or something...? |

| Panic! at the Disco – I Write Sins Not Tragedies Lyrics | 19 years ago |
| I had seen Panic! At The Disco Icons and layouts on peoples' Piczo sites, but I never knew who they were until yesterday. Yesterday I downloaded some of there songs, including this one. Theres just something about their music thats so different. Its so odd I cant ever remember the tune! I love it! I think this band will become one of my favorites! I saw the video clip and i think its awesome! I like how the brides side is all proper and neat, where as the grooms side is a circus. haha =D | |
| Lindsay Lohan – Confessions Of A Broken Heart Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
^(Im the post above too) Anyway, I also think the part in the video clip where people are watching Lindsay cry and her parents argue, is supposed to show that Lindsay grew up infront of the camera, so everyone has seen what she's gone through. Basically, I think the song means her father was never there for her, and by messing up his life, he messed up his whole familys. All Lindsay wanted was a dad, but he never tried to be one for her. She still wants him to be her dad, but she dosin't even know if he loves her or not... Just my opinion =) |
|
| Lindsay Lohan – Confessions Of A Broken Heart Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I love the line " I wait for the postman to bring me a letter" because it opens and closes the song so well! And it pretty much summerizes the entire song. It shows that shes waiting to see if her dad even cares about her. She still has hope that they can somehow bond. She still wants to work things out...so shes waiting... | |
| Gwen Stefani – What You Waiting For? Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
I Love the song! And I think the video clip is amazing! It's so original! It carrys an Alice in Wonderland theme. It has the flamingos, at one point Gwen is the queen of hearts. Shes then stuck in the house like Alice, and etc. I didnt think Gwen would be any good solo...but I was wrong! |
|
| Sugababes – Ugly Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
This song is so true! There is no ugly...everyone's the same. Since when are we to judge whos ugly and whose not? How would we know? We base people on one image, and if they dont look like that, they're considered ugly. Finally a song that has honesty! The writer of the song did an excellent job! Props to him/her! And props to Sugababes for actually singing it! Great song! I love the video clip too ^_^ |
|
| Ashlee Simpson – Boyfriend Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I dont like Ashlee..or Jessica..or pretty much almost any celeb...but I like this song xP Very addictive and catchy tune. Fun to sing and dance along with =P ;) | |
| Shakira – La Tortura Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Good song! According to the video i think the guy has a gf, but he wants Shakira, and Shakira wants him. She's cutting the onions to look like shes crying so he can feel sorry and go to her. Its torture for him not being able to be with her cause he has a girlfriend, and its torture for Shakira not being with him. Thats the definition my friend gave, and I dont know if its right =P |

| Yellowcard – Ocean Avenue Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| Yah, Okay..I've Hear only ONE Yellowcard song..and it was pretty good....but after looking at their list of songs here...they make WAY copy many cover songs! I mean..CAN'T THEY JUST WRITE THEIR OWN SONGS INSTEAD OF CONSTANTLY SINGING OTHER PEOPLES? I dont think thats orignial AT AL...I mean..I looked at their first 5 posted list of songs..and I already saw TWO cover songs...thats unbeleivable!!! | |

| Joan Osborne – One Of Us Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Each person imagines God in a different way. We all have our perspectives about Him/Her/It. And I know a lot of people think, "If God is so great, how did he let all these wars happen, etc..." TO ME, God didn't go wronge...we we're the ones who made the earth the way it is today. We we're the ones who made the wars, and the inventions, and the hatred, and the love. This is our own outcome. And if God didn't stop the wars...he sure didn't make it worse. Their could have been much more worse outcomes! We are the ones that have to fix these problems because we created it! If God came to our rescue everytime something bad happened...it would be a daily routine to crash airplanes, kill people, etc...because we would know God would fix it. God is making us stronger...life cant always be meadows filled with daisys and roses...we have to learn how to deal with our problems. Thats just my conclusion. We all have our perspectives about this topic, and this song was Joane Osborne's. Plus, listing to this song always makes me wonder all the questions she asks.... Plus, I'm just a 12 year old kid who to some people dosin't have an opinion at all. If you're like that...you can just ignore this post. But this is my feeling towred this topic. |
|
| Hilary Duff – Come Clean Lyrics | 20 years ago |
| I dunno, I've seen the video clip of hers you guys are talking about..(waiting for the boy to come and 'save' her) but I've also seen another one for this song where shes next to a waterfall singing with an orcastrua behind her =S I guess she has two video clips for one song... | |
| Hilary Duff – Wake Up Lyrics | 20 years ago |

strive** Typo =P |
|
| Hilary Duff – Wake Up Lyrics | 20 years ago |
|
Exactly! I think they just want to sound like they dont enjoy all the papparatzie and attention. I mean..if they dont wear any makeup and have a hat with sunglasses on...no one will notice them! They stive for attention, yet their all 'Omg it's sooo hard being in the public eye, I wish they'd just leave me alone!!' But as for this song...I like it's tune...but Hilarys voice when she sings "hollywood" is really bad. It gets on my nerves |

(My Post is above) Also, I've Been playing the Piano for 7 Years, and I recently found piano music sheets of her songs on the computer. But so far, I've only found her song, "White Houses", which I still think is good :P |
|
| Vanessa Carlton – A Thousand Miles Lyrics | 20 years ago |

To Me, Vanessa Carlton is Very Talented. Ballet and the Piano are very Hard to Learn, take alot of disipline, and Need Practice/Motovation. She Can Sing, Dance, Write AND Play an Instrument. These are Very Rare these Days, and I've never seen a singer so into her songs and singing life. -Melina :) |
