The song isn't about Vanity. It's about another girl named Nicole. Nikki was pretty sure she was cheating on him with Jack Wagner from the show General Hospital. Tommy played a cool piece on the piano, and Nikki wrote a song for it. Jack had a chart hit with a song called "You're All I Need". Nikki recorded the song, and gave it to Nicole on a casette. It's all in his new book 'The Heroin Diaries'. |

Saying "I'll be gone in a week". HA! Backfired on him didn't it?! When was the last time you heard from Mr. McCain? The guys he wrote this song about is still around. Just saw the man in concert last month, and it was amazing. |

The songs is about how there aren't many "real" artists any more. Jon's said that when he wrote the song he was invisioning a carnival where you could go in and see this real artist who would actually play and write a song.
I love this song so much. It was the first song I every heard them play live, and everytime I hear the opening riff I get shivers remembering how amazing they were that night. |
