I first nabbed it when it was leaked onto the 'net in 2004 and you could only get it on forums. Nowadays it's on Limewire, though. It's a New GN'R track that was originally played on Eddie Trunk's radio show in NYC in 2002 by Mike Piazza. Apparently someone gave Mike a tap with I.R.S. on it but after he played it for Trunk, GN'R managers called in and gave them a ceast and desist. Apparently, someone managed to record the song, anyway. It was put on the Internet last April, I think. |

Uh, no, Slash doesn't sing. He doesn't even play guitar. He wanted no part of it and it was supposedly recorded just by Axl with his Malibu estate gardener on guitar, of all people. |

One of the best GN'R songs yet - including the old ones. It sounds like a "sequel" to You Could Be Mine. |

This is about a psycho. I hate this song, but it has a certain so-bad-it's-good appeal. I also like when he says "Oh my distorted smile," in a British voice, which reminds me of Alex from "A Clockwork Orange."
Interesting to note the orgasmic sounds in the background are those from "Rocket Queen" as best as I can tell, anyway. |

This song is so gay. It ruins an otherwise pretty good album. It makes me question Franz Ferdinand's motives - WHY would they ever write this? If they were gay, fine - but as far as I know they're not, so, to quote a film character, "What the fuck is goin' on here?!" |

The car Franz Ferdinand died in is said to be cursed - everyone who has owned it since has died in it. Read Snopes.com for more info. I wasn't aware of the song's reference to Ferdinand, though - just their name, obviously. |

| Guns N' Roses – Sympathy for the Devil (Rolling Stones cover) Lyrics

It's a song being sung by the Devil as he witnesses first-hand the awful events of mankind. It's supposed to show that humans have acted out worse atrocities than even the devil would ever be capable of doing. It's sort of a satire. I think the GN'r version is great, Axl's not at his best vocally but Slash's guitar playing is more powerful than the Stones', which never really "gets going"...the Stones' is still great but not as good as this, and I don't care what anyone else says, I'm sticking to my guns. (Ha, pun intended.) |

I think the lyrics in the beginning after "ready!" are "hold her in peace", not "holverabeese" or any backwards talk. It's hard to make out but since the song is about turbulent times in a relationship I think it's a foreshadowing of the song's actual lyrics. |

One of the best Gn'R songs. I know everyone hates it because it's the new lineup, but I love it. I think it's great angry music - similar to Don't Damn Me, Back Off Bitch, Get in the Ring, etc. |

This song is about how you're going to find out sooner or later that our government sucks. Big deal. Actually not too bad of a song, but I hope the studio version is better than the bootleg....if it's ever released. |

I love this song, it's almost as good as the original Hollywood Roses version, I like the bouncy upbeat chorus with dark lyrics...great stuff! |

| Guns N' Roses – 14 Years Lyrics

I think this is a song about a guy who goes to jail and doesn't come out for 14 years. He was involved with others in whatever crime he committed - hence the line, "Your stupid girlfriends tell you that I'm to blame...." He also says "...I was the dog they all tried to beat," as in prison abuse?
That's how I've always interpreted it. |
