Gr8 song...and pretty obious what he is talking about.....He talks about that kind of pepole who are always down...even if there is nothing wrong they will always find something to coplain and be deppresd about....its like they cant live without selfpittying,and expecting pepole around them to pitty them....Their glass is always half-empty not half-full....I know several girls...lots of them are goths.....song always reminds me of them....Everyone has our problems and has to bear their cross...but if u embrase it,it will carry you ,if u nag ,cross will olny get heavyer and you will become burden to people around you....and theyl levae you.... definetly about person wanting to grow in spirituality. im not gonna say its christian,becauze they never wrote anything like that before ,but lyrics like "Burn my house until I end up with nothing"is totaly christian - die/burn his material security so he could relay only on his faith "When it comes down to victory within me I know that we're in for days"he knows that the fight isnt gonna be the easyone- "Whittle me down to pieces"kill all my pride selfishnes,so your love could enter in my heart "Make me understand you're there for me"message is realy clear in this one. I kinda hate his songs this type(judith any1?)Not because im christian but becauze he sounds cheap like any other manson(Reflecting the God)/stupid teen revolt band.Its just that i used to hear more sophisticated lyirics fom Tool,not just bland "Open my eyes and blind me with your light and your lies".Thats 2 obvious,2 "god is olny lie,nothing else attitude",no considiration at all,just blind hate from childhood. |
