| Pink Floyd – Remember a Day Lyrics | 21 years ago |
|
a song about losing the innocence of childhood --- Remember a day before today a day when you were young Free-to play along with time evening never come Sing now a song that can't be sung without the morning's kiss Queen- you shall be it if you wish look for your King Why can't we play today why can't we stay that way? Climb your favourite apple tree try to catch the sun hide from your little brother's gun dream yourself away Why can't we reach the sun why can't we flow the years away flow away remember a day... |

No, no never will they, Ill say! Summoning in his cosmic powers and glowing slightly from his toes The psychic emanations-fly |

naww-Pink Floyd used to like to give nonsense titles to thier songs. I think the title is a joking PLAY on axe murder AND playing on the guitar-or axe; I think this is just a vivid dream, that comes to climax, then recedes. I love the way the song quietly and delicately builds to a crescendo, then just as delicately fades away....the middle eastern scales add a sense of sensual mystery to it all. the song was meant to be appreciated as it was under the influence of acid or pot-it had its own meanings howerver covert. |
