I saw them (well congleton) play this acoustic before the album came out. it was awe-inspriring. just him out the front of the stage after they had finished playing, there was only about 10 of us there as well as it was in colchester. it was absolutly fantasitc. |

when Thursday played Reading this year Geoff said "This song is for my friend who can't be here today". So although the song obviously draws inspiration from the tragic death of Matthew, it could also be about this friend. Also, Paris In Flames was about the same type of thing...so i think these two songs are very heavily connected because they both seem to be about injustice and standing up for what you believe in. |

i kinda see what you mean. a lot of these bands do sound the same, but (speaking from my point of view personally) sometimes it's nice to listen to a band who just are in it for the love of it and don't try to pull off an indivdual band. the only thing i find annoying about your point is when you said "People really need to start giving individuality and real musical talent some credit" because your not the only person who listens to bands who don't get credit. some of my other favourite bands are miss black america, the pAper chAse, the jesus lizard, rites of spring, pink floyd, circle takes the square, knee high, killing tree etc so i do listen to artists who don't get enoough attention. and besides, even if this band does get attention, why does it matter? if you don't like the band, fair enough, but you don't have to put that you don't on here. we didn't ask for your opinion, we just got it, and we get it, ok? :) |
