Agent Provocateur – Red Tape Lyrics 20 years ago
It's part of the soundtrack of The Jackal (1997) and Underworld (2003).

Linkin Park – Session Lyrics 21 years ago
The distorted fading Voice at the end reminds me strinkingly of the Voice of Shodan at the end of the (very athmospheric) Computer Game System Shock from 1992. And, yes, the song is truly great.

Rob Dougan – There's Only Me Lyrics 21 years ago
To me it seems like a man is in love with an unlucky married woman. He affirms her, that he'll wait for her - no matter how long it takes or how many persons will leave her.

Rob Dougan – Furious Angels Lyrics 21 years ago
I think Rob Dougan tries to describe the intensity of a love in powerful, clear and graphic words. Since most people know pain, but few such great dedication, he uses the known to illustrate the unknown. A Love, uncompromising like a fatal wound, protected by supernatural forces - an unbreakable inseparable alliance.

Peter Gabriel – We Do What We're Told Lyrics 21 years ago
This song is about the dangerous tendency to disregard your own ethical values, just to be obedient.

"Milgram's 37" refers to the experiment, in a series of experiments of psychologist Stanley Milgram, with the worst results. In this case 37 of 40 participants went to the full extent of the experiment, and delivered (without knowing fake) electric shocks to another Test-Subject (who was indeed an actor, btw.) without stopping when the Subject begged for mercy.

This was a sing-along-song in many concerts (see the irony?).

Peter Gabriel – Signal To Noise Lyrics 21 years ago
For me, the song is simply about our world drowning in meaninglessness - in "background-noise". From pluralism to political correctness, few dare to "tell wrong from right". Maybe Peter Gabriel is trying to wipe out the noise by transmitting clear messages.

Massive Attack – Dissolved Girl Lyrics 21 years ago
Interestingly, in the Matrix, while Neo searches for Morpheus, you hear the part "Feels like I've been, I've been here before, You are not my saviour, but I still don't go, feels like something, that I've done before". Which is mysteriously fitting to the matrix' story.

Furthermore I can't decide whether it's about, sex, drugs or some general form of addiction/dependence.

Peter Gabriel – Darkness Lyrics 21 years ago
It's about facing your fears... and discovering that they are not so dreadful after all.

Peter Gabriel – Growing Up Lyrics 21 years ago
I guess it's about reincarnation.
It starts (all over) in a womb the "fleshy purse, floating once again" and ends with death, when "the breathing stops".

Peter Gabriel – Kiss That Frog Lyrics 21 years ago
It's that deliberately ambiguous. So it really seems to be about oral sex.

Peter Gabriel – No Way Out Lyrics 21 years ago
Similar to "I Grieve" from the same Album, I think there is a glimpse of desperate hope in the end.
For me, the Title refers to the wounded person trying to escape life. But there is "no running away - no way out". The narrator won't let him/her go.
