i can totally relate to this album but this song extremely, especially at this point in my life cuz of many many changes happening and many many changes happening within my self. my favourite lines are "Thought I was high, and free. thought was there divine destiny. I was wrong. This changes everything."
Basically though what i think its about is thinking uve reached a goal , uve reached a divine point within in yourself where your like "this is it, im hear, now i just need to harness my energy" but then someting in your life hits you (ie the water) andband blows your away and u realize you gotta whole lot of climbing to do b4 uve reached your standard again.

any tool fan has to remember that the band is never gonna give you the straight truth about there stuff, whats the fun in that. To tell you the truth its actually adams guitar with wah, reverb (for sure) and maybe delay and chrous. ive done it b4 on my guitar jit just sound a little different, probably cuz i didnt have a studio to make it sound wicked. they also do tison marilyn manson's anti christ superstar, its a very short backround noise on one of the tracks |
