| Stage – The World Has Come Between Us Lyrics

Can't believe nobody has commented on any Stage songs. I first heard about these guys at a concert when they were opening up for Eve6. This is one of my favorite songs of their CD. I think it's about this couple who wants to have this relationship and just be carefree and young but something is holding them back. Figuratively, the world. No idea what it could be though.. |

It said in an interview in Alternative Press pretty much what he said online - it wasn't a one night stand, but about preserving the feeling he felt when he knew he was gonna lose his virginity to this girl. It is pretty easy to get confused the first time you hear it, but once you listen to it, i'm pretty sure you would understand. and so what if the lyrics are cheesy? it's a cheesy feeling that he's describing! i certainly wouldn't be able to do it was well as he does, so he has my kudos. |

that freaked me out the first time, made me all paranoid i had left AIM on. i love their sound, it's so unique. my cd collection is comprised of mixes, and i found this on one of them. it kinda seems he feels inferior to this girl, but is so infatuated he can't help it. man, whatever, it's awesome. |

This song IS my freshman year of highschool, oh man. not particularly cos of the words, just because of the fact that my friend and i had it on nonstop repeat for about 9 months. I would say something about the meaning and whatever, but it seems like you guys got that covered. The comment box was only a mile from the top of the screen. |

I would have to agree.. like the distance is an awful lot and he's gonna try his best to overcome it.
I just know that the "The distance is only an obstacle, hardly a match for a miracle." line saved my relationship.. really makes you think, hm? |

I heard in an interview on Fuse that the title is from a bet the guys had with Eddie to weigh 180lbs by summer. However, as that has no relation to the song at all, they could've been kidding. Who knows. |

Yeah I read that in an interview. They didn't come out and say it, but they alluded to it. The people who posted earlier got it pretty much right, except it wasn't about a girl, it was about their bassist. I wonder if Dirk knew that when he was playing in though, or if Brandon pretended it was about someone else.. hehe. |

I love this song.. it was on a compilation I got, the Plea For Peace one. It seems like this girl is trying to make it seem like it's the first time she's done anything with a guy, and he really doubts it. But I think that's kind of obvious.. |

Yeah, I never thought of it that way, but that makes sense. Like his childhood is gone now because he's made the transition to adulthood by being 'physically involved', and he doesn't know if he wanted to let go of it (But the irony of the story is when I fell to my knees and began clawing at the dirt in front of the tombstone).. hm.. that never even occured to me. I feel so enlightened. |

I seemed to think the same thing as x your star x -- that the title was just Black Heart Valentine. Hm.. oh well though. Same song, that's all that matters. |

The intro riff seems to remind me so much of another song's intro, but I just can't think the song. I think it's more of a pop-ish one.. anyone else think that, or am I just crazy? |

This is one of my favorite songs off Pollyanna, although I'm having an difficult time finding the deeper meaning. It seems like a end-of-a-relationship song, regretting what went wrong but accepting it. What does everyone else think? |

Oh goddy god god, jjlopez. You have my eternal respect. I agree.. I don't believe that people should get angry cos a band evolves.. nor do I believe they would turn down money for doing what they love. Pshh.. listen to the music, and ignore everyone else. I hate forums like this. They make you too aware of everyone else and what they think. And that's not always a good thing. |

Wow you guys.. everyone has a right to express their opinions. And just cos you don't agree with someone's opinion doesn't mean that their opinion is wrong.
I like this song, personally. One of the only Rufio songs I've heard. It's on the Take Action v. 2 compilation, but it's one of the better tracks. |

This is one of my favorite songs off War All The Time. I love the "I'm calling from your house.. in you room... etc etc" part. It's something about his voice when he yells that out. Ahh.. I feel like a screaming fan girl. |

This is my reserved sad song.. y'know, the song you listen to when you're feeling particularly sad. My boyfriend lives about an hour away, which isn't as bad as California, but when you're sad about something, logic doesn't ever come into play. This song always makes me feel a little better. |

I especially love the Acoustic version on From Music In High Places. Adds a lot of meaning to it, I think. But it is a very optimistic song, in the sense that even if you're life is a total mess, there are certain things you can count on to pull you through. Aww.. haha. |

i actually found out about this band from a friend, and this was the first song she made me listen to. and ever since then, that infectuous "la de da da..." lyric has been stuck in my head at least once a week.
it's a strange song though, because i still haven't the slightest idea what they're talking about. i though i pinned it down once, but my idea was completely shut down with the next verse. the "and i won't care at all about anything, just like you" lyric kinda gives a bit of insight, i think... or not. my ideas usually suck anything :D |
