their last show was tonight. they ended up playing two sets due to the amount of people that were there [the hall is in east bumblefuck and is like, two inches big. there was an issue with the cops due to fire codes+they couldn't have more than 150 people there] but i saw the first set. and it was fucking amazing. they closed with this song. and it was just so powerful. for the last part, youknow the screamy section, everyone just jumped on brian and sang along. it was a supersad night but amazing all the same. |

"Dc is the best emo band alive!" sigh..things like that make me hurt deep down inside. dashboard, or more appropriately, ca$hboard, is bringing about the demise of emo. and after that comment i couldnt bear to read any more it really bothers me. ive been into the music forever and a day and now it seems like everyone else is jumping on the chris carrabba/emo bandwagon, dressing the part, and taking the role of the kids they made fun of for doing the same thing so long ago..and like. it makes me feel like i have to change for them. not be myself because everyone else decided it was "cool" and now im just stuck in a rut. maybe it's just me, but i'm sure other indie/emo kids are feeling it too. it's a sin to enjoy ca$hboard nowadays, and i hate it. so enjoy your emo trend while it lasts. but do your homework before calling dash the best ever...look into bands that started emo, like sunny day real estate and rites of spring. then when you don't like it, reevaluate. i have never posted this long of a comment in my life. |
