if i may, i'd like to give my interpretation:
I think it's about a regular guy, who i think is married, ends up getting famous (i think he might be a singer) and along with the stardom and the "pride" that his wife gives him begins to lose sight of his 'humble' beginnings(therefore takes a ride on the star mile), the fame begins to change his relationship, and he begins to take her for granted, leaving her, "safe at home" and maybe gets involved with superficial people who aren't truly after him, only his fame...money..whatever. He forsakes his true love for those relationships and fame and from his "tower" thinks that he doesn't need her anymore or his regular old life, only to realize much too late that it's in his "regular" life that he truly had the "sublime" and that he lost it without the chance to have it back. |
