"The full moon is looking for friends at high tide" I believe this is referring to friends that have died, because usually dead fish in the ocean wash up on the shore during high tide.and the moon can represent sorrow and sadness.and with the full moons light you can see or remember those friends

"And I see you" sounds like NICU, or NI is the symbol for nickel in the periodic table, and Cu is copper, so it can be interpretted as nickels and pennies.

I used to think it was about the civil war , however, I then realized that the civil war freed the slaves, and while this was not the goal of the civil war that was an added benefit.knowing dispatch and their music you can tell they are all about freedom.War is not a good thing, nevertheless, By writing an anti civil war song they would be contradicting their own message.

I once read a book by C.S lewis called Prince Caspian, which is part of the Chronicles of Narnia. In the book Prince caspian is taught the ways of Narnia, which was thought to be just an ancient legend. Caspian defeats his enemies and becomes King Caspian X. He is later called Caspian the Seafarer, following his travels to the World's End. Surely this song is based upon the book, I would recommend you read the book, if you have not already, it is a childrens book however the entire series is enjoyed by all ages.
