I have 2 theories on this song... maybs Its speaking through an opposite point of view. I can relate to this very well... Its like this person speaking is talking as if he were the other person (possibly a love) who he's hurt, and is sort of mockingly saying "Yea, I hurt you, I'm sorry, you're thinking about this all wrong" Or maybe its speaking to a person who loves this other person... but keeps getting hurt... and is trying to stay away... and cant believe anything the other person says, because things keep getting fucked up. |

| I think its about how someone can get so much fame and then something "better" comes along and they are nothing again. Watch the video. The kid is made out to be so great and shit then all the sudden he's nothing. Of course, society sucks big nuts so we dont realize we do this. System of a down has been around for a long time making videos and music, but how many people actually listened to them back then? They put out chop suey and now they have all kinds of publicity. Now everybody knows who they are. But of course, society is going thorugh a rock is cool phase... before this it was pop and now its turning into punk. So pretty much... Fads upon fads. | |
