| HIM – Join Me In Death Lyrics

This song is nothing new. It's basically a Romeo & Juliet situation. I think that's why this song became so popular in America and created all these little American HIM fans. We're suckers for a classic love story. Teenagers especially become melodramatic when it comes to the subject of love. The lyrics are NOT in any way intelligent. There are a million songs just like it. But that's why we love it. It spells out universal sentiments that seem oddly personal at the same time.
I think this song has some The Cure elements that are most appealing. |

Hmm. All interesting. Maybe I'm wrong. I always just thought that Ziggy Stardust was David Bowie's glam alter-ego. Basically, like he was everything about him times a million. His own fears, inadequacies, ego, lust..etc just magnified. |

Clearly this song is about the "war" between the working class and the white collar and upper classes. The upper classes look down on the lower and view them as "mistakes" utterly worthless to society. When, in fact, many of those raised in the lower classes have educated themselves rather than be dragged down. Eventually, they'll take the place of the upper class people who never felt a need to really push themselves and be creative because they thought they'd always have money. |

There is hardly a difference between Shabutie and Co&ca. Certainly not one that everyone should be whining about. Anyway, while I'm sure Claudio is a nice enough guy, between this song, "godfather's lollipop", and the entire Velourium Camper series, I'd say he focuses on some really morbid topics. I'm not saying they're not good songs, but not ones that would make me "giggle", that's for sure. His focus on abuse (sexual and physical) makes me wonder... |

Im disappointed to learn this was a cover. :\ I was hoping us Idahoans would have another star to feel proud of. :( Oh well. I still love this song. It's so sad in ways. Makes me think of my first grade crush. |

I feel dumb. Cuz when I found this song like 2 yrs & the mp3 downloader thing it was listed as the get up kids. It wasn't till just now (after not figuring out why I couldnt find the lyrics) I bothered looking up the song title here. I feel silly! |

This song, & then more so the accoustic version, used to be me & my ex's song. It was never really declared, but it fit. I can't count how many times this song made me cry. |

Mormon? well that just sucks.
I always thought it was more about going off to college or something more normal. But whatever. It's still a great song & probably my overall favorite song by The Get Up Kids. I love singing it too. |

| The Get Up Kids – Regret (New Order cover) Lyrics

I think this is a good cover. Though, it's also a New Order song I wasn't familiar with prior... anyway. I think it's about growing up & seeing someone you knew in the past. You love them, but you're unsure. It was probably someone you thought was out of your league in high school type dealie. You think you're stronger now, but are you really? |

We're all a little crazy sometimes. If a guy was chasing after me, I would think he was crazy too. Ric is a genius. |

The beginning of this song reminds me of some sort of christmas type ballad. I think that might have been the point though. This is a good break up song about the good things in relationships. "I'll never love again... I'll never know another you" *sigh* Don't we all feel that way at the end of a generally good relationship? |

This is definitely one od my fave songs from "hang ups" It's just about feeling insecure in a relationship because everything you say is essentially a re-run even though you wish there was a way to say it so you know they'll believe you.
It's just a nice love song w/ some funky fresh ska undertones. |

I hate rich people or even well to do people who despise their wealth. Instead of being useful and helping others, they sit around moping because they want to be like the hip poor kids. You know, most of us lower class kids would much rather have money. And if we had it, we wouldn't deny it. *sigh* |

The main part of the verse doesn't really make all that much sense. It's just about whether or not to trust a girl I guess. But I still love this song. The beat rules. It's kinda punky. |
