i have to say that this is the only dashboard confessional song that i will admit to still liking. i love the original album (sar) and i think that he's kinda gone downhill after that. although "hands down" is one of his best songs. but anyway, to all the kids who knew about dashboard when the album came out on Fiddler Records (not Drive Thru you little hot topic emo kids), from one emo-elitist to another, i salute you. i also salute all of you who sold your copy of the Fiddler version for $50 on ebay.com to all of the little shits that think it's better or cooler or something. way to go, seriously, i'm not kidding. |

i have to say that this is one of the most beautiful songs ever recorded. and yes, jeff buckley has MADE this song his own. his cover COMPLETELY outdoes the Leonard Cohen version. unfortunately rufus wainright thought that it was a great idea to cover it for the soundtrack of shrek. shoot me. it was horrible. the buckley version would have been SO much better. anyway, enough rambling. |
