it seems as if the song is trying to convice one to love/date/whatever. When he's talking about how sometimes you get what you get and other times you don't as in being a good or bad relationship, and the bad times relationship or not having the relationship seems to bring you down 'bad times choke us all once or twice' and then with the stanza after that is him saying love is nothing with out you... ehh just a thought

Well if you think about it, when people write their songs and think on how they take it as, not as others may take it. but then later when you are finished, you see other points of view from not only others but from yourself just pending on the mood your in

I actully do have a studio version of this.. it was supposedly going to be put onto "Lillywhite Sessions" if you would like a copy... just holla at me... By the way, I enjoy this song much.. I just like how when the song kicks into the "Damn you, big city, black city" Also it somewhat sounds like a R.E.M. type thing when they sing the "yeah yeah yeah"s. |
