Some hoopin' and a hollerin')
Jeb.. get away from the bar-b-que man

The backing music is apparently just a little snippet of a song from the Deliverance soundtrack. I've never actually seen that movie, but a couple of years ago I heard someone busking with a banjo in the subway play the original song and was kind of taken aback when I realized why it sounded so familiar.

Deliverance was a great movie & you should see it. But I must worn you, It will ruin your weekend & you'll never want to see it again. Seriously.

wow, I think even the Beasties would have to call you on that one. Favorite country song?? Have you heard more than one?

Side note - it's bluegrass, not country.

Maybe I'm being a little anal here but isn't "Don's, give me a kiss" Actually "Go on! Skin that cat!" Isn't "skin that cat" bluegrass slang for playing the fiddle? Which is the next instrument heard.

Lyric Correction

@kanoe13 "Skin that cat" is absolutely slang for playing the fiddle, as the strings were originally made with catgut.

My favorite country song, except maybe for "Mule Skinner Blues."
