i cant believe only one perso has commented on this song...i think it contains the single best line on the album. "oh misery is so beautiful." when was the last time anyone made any beautiful music without being in misery? seriously folks, its incredible. and the way he screams it, you feel it in your veins and you get the chills because it hits you so hard....its awesome. period.

yeah it is really good, but all of the hopeafall songs are amazing, its hard to pick lol...but this song stick out, because of the last line. "only the cloud bear witness as we wither away.." because lets face it, sometimes, no one really gives a flying fucka bout you. no one even notices anything is wrong until youre gone. only the clouds see as you fall apart at the seams.

yeah i gotta agree on the 'because you feel....NOTHING." its amazing and so very true about so many people...but another good line - "lonliness finds us, beneath dim lit lights." for me, this is the epitome of my life. in everything ive ever done that has ever made me the slightest bit happy, the lonliness and the depression always finds its way back to me...but im fucked up, dont mind me ;)

this also was the first song i ever heard by hopesfall, and i was blown away, and have since gotten all three albums, although i must say the No Wings to Speak Of EP is far and above anything else ever. Probably the four best songs ever made, and by far the best album (or half album ;) ever created. but anywho, back to april.... wow what can you say to something so beautifully and poetically true and "silence was the last word we spoke." amazing. wow. this song rules. and dont even get me started on the opening...just wow. nd the guitar throughout the song is incredible. and the scary part is, its even better live. ive been to tons of shows, but wow that was amazing. for those o you who never got to see a show at the fireball (st paul, MN) i pity you. especially if you havent seen hopesfall. they fucking rule.

again, im not big on the religious interpretations, because im just not into that. so my moral: people suck. they make life a living hell (as well as cold and unfamiliar) for a lot of people, and no matter how hard you try, this will always be the case. so just hope that the past will fade and you can go on.

i love this song, forget the religious connotations, im taking ym own meaning. hehe thats why music rules, there are 28591891 ways to take everything. so the moral, if you will of the song: life sucks. people suck. theyre ignorant as hell in their attempts for happiness. those of who are smart and realize whats really happening get screwed because life really is a bitch. i just love "and it is by a sad countenance...(awesome instrumental section, leading into a perfect end to the lyric)...the heart is made stronger in time." its simply amazing. wow.

Hopesfall – The End Of An Era Lyrics

i love this song. absolutely amazing...i think this is one of (if not THE) best songs ever created. its all about (to me, everyone will get something different out of it) losing something hugely important to your life, like the relationship i had been in. after it ended, there were some awkward moment (ten minutes, or forever ;) in which we tried to reconcile things, but something had been lost that day...and so you "drift further away" and you "remember what was" (and most especially) "what might have been" and as you realize that what happened was for the better, you start to see that they will be fine without you, and for me, its like i regret losing this and i wish like nothing else it would come back, but at the very least, thank you for the good times (and as for you, i am also grateful). you then begin to realize that theyre better off without you anyway, and that because you still love them, even though you wish like all hell they would come back, you wish them well and hope that they can be as happy without you as you were with them. thats what i think anyways. and i pray that yuou find the peace you ahve been longing for. lather, rinse, repeat.

yeah on the actual cd (that oh so few of us actually spent 10 dollars) the transition is amazing, its flawless, and i had to pay attention to realize it was more than one long song. unfortunately, im in love with my new 20 gig mp3 player, and i get about a half second pause, and it ruins the ffect. the moral of the story: spend your ten bucks. support this amazing band and realize how powerful this track really is.

i love it....the AI idea in my opinion is right on, and ending the same way it started...defnitely. dont ferget about this part tho - 10 songs of utter raw emotion and [beautiful] choas stuck between two slow, mellow, melodic, and nearly identical pieces. only thing i dont get tho...what is "the tide is high on fourteenth street" all about?
