I think, probably one of the best songs lyrically by Thrice. Especially the last stanza. I just closed my eyes and imagined I was Peter being ripped apart inside as Dustin is screaming those last lines. It sent chills up my spine and a song has never done that to me. There is so much imagery and he sings it with such emotion. Amazing. |

OH. MY. GOD.
The end of this song makes me want to break things. HOW DOES THIS BAND KEEP DOING THIS?!!?! It goes from a beautiful radiohead sound in the begining to a all out thrice-makes-want-to-hurt-things sound. And then awsome lyrics to go with it. Amazing. Definitely one of my favorite Thrice songs ever. |

I dunno DarkZeph. I know its your opinion and all that good stuff but the title of the song is taken directly out of the bible and dictionary.com says canticle has a lot more to do with the bible than JUST a song or chant. Yes, Thrice is not a Christian band but Dustin is...at least im pretty sure. And thats clearly evident from other songs hes written. |

Unforunately Audiovent has broken up. I dunno when it happened but I think it was awhile ago. Its kinda bullshit cause they just left thier fans in the dark about it. They were working on a new cd and everything in 03/04. Then all of a sudden they stopped updating thier site and we never heard from them again. I heard the singer went to film school and the other 3 band members created this other god awful band. I dont remember the name of it. Sucks. Oh well. |

This song would have been good about 2 years ago. But by now I have heard a 1000 songs just like it. "Cut my wrist and black my eyes" is probably one of the most generic emo i-want to-kill-my-self lines around right now. You want something orginal go listen to something like Thrice or Coheed. |

I think this song basically means someone that is wanting to be somthing more and/or trying to find themselves but cant seem to do it. maybe one day they will get there but for now this is who they are. pretty straight forward.

anyways, to the song...i like the song, but i definitly think its the worst one on thier CD. their next single is gonna be still frame which is like 10x better than this song |
