ummm....you know this is going to sound odd, but...I believe she is talking about her sexual relationship with her lover. Let me explain before you think I'm some dirty pervert. "Your flirt finds me out Teases the crack in me " Umm, yes. Well, her lover is using forplay and is teasing her. Which basically means he's teasing her vagina....her crack. Yes, i told you this was going to be dirty. "Mon petit vulcan You're eruptions and disasters I keep calm Admiring the lava" Well, guys, this is about his erection and the ejaculation and how she is admiring it while still remaining calm as he's getting off during sex. "Electric shocks? I love them! With you dozen a day But after a while I wonder Where's that love you promised me?" Notice this line follows the man's orgasm line and then she starts taking about her own...her electric shock. But as she continues to explain, the relationship starts out with lots of sex but slowly begins to subside as the newness of it fades and she's dissapointed because he probably promised to love her with the same amount of passion forever. Anywho, i know that's a twisted perspective as apposed to the other posted. But a friend of mine, who is the biggest Bjork freak I've ever met, told me that most of her songs are all sexual references. Soo....I guess you can make of it what you will. The whole song is a reference to the book 1984. "2 + 2 = 5" : used by the government, doublethink "don't question my authority or put me in the box" : reference to Winston's character when they take him to room 101 to torture him "January has April showers" : I can't remember where, but I do believe this phrase is used somewhere in the book I recommend everyone read 1984 along with Brave New World. It's a scary reality to consider. Anywho, that's just my opinion. |
