I have had the privlige of seeing them 3 times in ATL. They play this song everytime and Mike stands on the edge of the stage and tells everyone to take his hand as he sings this: "Weep for me and say thy prayers,

This song reminds me a lot of Norma Jean's cd Bless The Martyr Kiss the Child, which was the last cd Josh Scogin, frontman of The Chariot, made with NJ. This song really sounds a lot like BTMKTC. I love it. I love that cd, and this cd is definately a great one. |

Punk is dead. I mean face the fact and get your head out of your butt. I mean really. When bands with no message (ie. Avril Lavigne, Blink 182) become popular punk bands and crap like that, punk died. When bands like the great Clash sold out and yes they sold out, there music changed a great deal after they got known, Punk died. When bands like Good Charlotte and New Found Glory are out there selling their music with almost no message, punk is dead! I mean there are still true punk bands, that actaully have a message. Bands like The Unseen, The Virus. Stuff like that, thats punk. Not this bullshited idea of corporate america. When people shop at these stores run owned by Abercrombie and Fitch and think they are non conformist punks, punk died. I mean get your head out of you ass's and face the facts. I used to be a down to earth punk. I still adore the music and the lifestyle. But when someone comes up to you and says, "Are you punk" and you say "yes" and they go "oh so you listen to Blink 182." Thats when I gave up. When people ask who bands like The Virus and Unseen are and call themselves punk, punk died. I mean good gosh people. At least some band out there has the guts enough to say the truth. Now quit getting your royal punk panties in a bundle and face the cold hard facts! |
