| Alter Bridge – Brand New Start Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Song: To me, everything about this song is about being "together". "Me and you"... "us"..."we"... Look at all the "we" references: "Against the sky, streams of light Call out to me and you WE leave as one, WE've just begun To find the solace WE're due This is a life WE must choose." And that's just the first verse. This is about two people, who either by their own doing or the world's, need to make a brand new start. We all get pulled down in relationships, again sometimes it's by other people or life situations and sometimes we hurt ourselves. This is about the two people putting their past behind them, putting the weight of the world behind them and having a "brand new start"... together. As far as the band, I agree with alot of the earlier comments. You have bands that are led by one outstanding musician, a singer or a guitarist usually. That is NOT AB. Top to bottom all are outstanding musicians. I can't bear to listen to the first album after hearing Blackbird. Adding Myles' song writing and guitar playing to an already impressive band put them over the top. Although you can tell there are different styles in the mix. They compliment each other perfectly. |

| The Exies – Different Than You Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| It's about his dad. I heard an interview where he stated that. Looking at the lyrics you can see it. He thought he was different than his dad, but in the end, we are biologically disposed to have the same traits as our parents. "I was so stupid to think that I was so different than you..." | |

| I think the verses are 3rd person, reflecting on himself. He did something bad in a relationship and finally fessed up... alas, too late. During the chorus he tries to explain that he tried to make it up by giving her summer, etc. All actions are futile, because of his "lies" from the first verse. | |

I agree w/ kellenwright. Just a girl that agrees to too much and ends up letting people down. He's fed up (last three verses). As for everyone being "artistically ( |

| We go through everyday life being pushed from all directions until you eventually lose it. When pushed over the edge, you fight back and unleash all frustrations built up. | |
