"I believe in what I do. I don't believe I'm the greatest guy or anything, but I believe in what I do, in what I say and fight for. I believe in my friends and I believe in what they say and fight for. I'm scared. I'm very scared of a life with no passion. I'm terrified of that. It just fucking terrifies me and it's always terrified me. The big city is gray - gray sidewalk, gray street, gray buildings, gray suits, no fucking color in the people's skin, black hair - no color, no life, no passion, just the fucking grind and that fucking terrifies me. I can't even think of that. It's just terrible to me, so I believe in what I'm doing. I believe in finding the passion and keeping it going and keeping the fire burning in every way. If you let it die somewhere, it's just going to die everywhere." -Chris Wollard. How can you not admire this guy? Every band he's been a part of were brilliant in their own ways. This Guy was born for this shit. |

about walls that people build and create inside of them that lead to insecurities and holding back on things. The walls only exist in your head and its hard to break free of them sometimes it takes the help from someone else to realize this. |

its about a benediction they feel by doing what they believe in that is rare, and the sacrifice that it involves but in the end its you and your friends making the best of it, which is always worth it. this song reminds me of a friend |

there is a movie being realeased with the story based on this song its called "loren class" i think. this is a song fully about regret where a man drinks cause first of all he has nothing to begin with, but even with love, cant break his deppression and cant save her from the ugliness he is surrounded in and he realizes that. How can Blake write songs so descriptive? I wonder if it's from experience |

seems like a real judgemental song on someone who obviously deserves it. Cocky, Self-assured, self-loathing, egotistical, ang can't be taught shit cause they already know everything and their proud of it. Someone also told me it was a statement to the straight edge scence in the early 90's. the guitar inro got me hooked |

it seems like this is a song that is reminescent about a time/night where two friends said fuck it and made the most of their time together by losing themselves and carrying on with their night life. Then again it could be about the loss of someone he shared this recklessness with. Either way a carefree song with a great feel that makes you want to dance, It amazes me how a simple three chord song can move me like this one, but i guess thats the beauty of it. Hope the album opens with it. |

i fuckin love these songs. HWM is what being in a band is all about in every aspect. They are so great cause they believe in what they do and it shows this song calls out other bands and other influentual people who dont mean a word they promote. at least thats how i take it. i would not want to face chuck regan so better listen up out there.
Top 3 songs on this subject:
Rock singer - HWM
Shiner - Kid Dynamie
Against Me! - Reinventing Axl Rose |

nope, both wrong its about coloring books. i like this site cause everyone gets to say what the song means to them, how much they love it, where they were when the first heard it, how we can relate,etc... honestly i can find similarities in my personal relationships, but thats my take. so unless you wrote the song cut the judgemental bullshit out. Such ugly shit here for such a beautiful song |

the song is pretty self explanitory, as are a lot of leatherface songs. Great musicians singing simple songs that surround them and everyone else for that matter. I hope leatherface writes songs for as long as I live. |

this song helped me a lot when i moved away from home in new jersey over to maui. It was really the first time being on my own. During the time I was over there I lost the whole reason for me being there, but when I hear counting numbers I can say "I felt the wind and remembered everything." |
