Wouldn't it make more sense to say, "Killing for your dress TONIGHT." ? Cause, to me, that's what it should be/is. Yes, I agree that it's sexual.
However, I think it's about trying to abstain from sex and how hard it is to abstain due to the feelings "Running hot." Getting caught up in the moment. I'm not religious, but can dig Anberlin's less-churchy-la-roo lyrics and musical prowess. But yea, I'm gonna say it's about sex, whether it be trying not to, or trying to hit that. |

I would assume that it is not as much of a religious song due to songs like Pariah Under Glass, Bathory's Sainthood, and such. These songs point heavily to reasons to not be religious? But yea, I can see how the words "heal" and such could be interpreted as religious allusions. |

This band rocks so hard. How aren't there more comments? This song has the best drum-effects. Oh, it just flows so well! It feels like a constant forward progression. The drums are so tight, the vocals are like velvet, the lyrics are so interesting, the guitar with the bass makes me happy in the pants. |

This is clearly the woman being abused in the relationship and killing her abuser might be the only way to heal from all the abuse he put her through, and he notes that her killing him would be justified, or a fitting punishment for what he did to her.
I can't understand abusing your girlfriend... I hate that more than anything... Don't take your anger out on anyone, especially the one that you are closest with... It will really scar them... |

This is the only line that i find really confusing of this song. Like, subtext isn't the right word for that i would say. Subtext is like the script for actors, I would guess it means that they are just acting like they like the person, but then again, who needs subtext even without a friend like that person?
