wow..just wow, this is my favorite song from the golden state album - i love it - and i love the lyrics - one of the best lines i ever read was : I want to be for you what I've never had Sadly, this is so true and applies for me all the time i try to get into a new relationship - mostly i give 10 times more than i ever recieve back.... oh my thats life The song itself is probably (imho) about trying to pursuade a girl or woman whatever that you (he) is the right person for her... And all of this time I was just trying to reach you he tries hard, really hard and does everything he can that she will finally choses him and gives him a chances |

OMG !!! Nearly two years have passed and nobody cared to comment on this song... Well of course it is mostly known through the "From Dusk Till Dawn" Movie (which is awesome). Its a pretty cool song, probably about one night stands with a vampire bitch (only after dark) - no idea - just guessing :D |

well, a year has passed and nobody commented on this song... This is one of my all time favorite songs, i could hear it straight for 12 hours - its really depressing but i like it that way. Well, the meaning - i seem to always think about it - for me its about a one-sided relationship which finally ended and the time (years) thereafter. I cant comment on each line but a few i can really relate too : "Wherever you are, you will carry always Truth of the scars and darkness of your faith" She will never forget about him, she will never forget what she did to him - the darkness of your faith could probably mean her bad conscience after all this time. "Slowly move on, how did we get to here It all went wrong, gravity claiming all your tears Everything looks so much better now, so much better now" How could this relationship end ? We will know in later verses, however he may know that its already over and that it is the best for him - it feels so much better to be without her - she probably caused him alot of pain - and her tears mean now nothing to him. "You will get yours, you will get yours, you will get yours" Could mean the person (girl) will sooner or later see what she is missing , that there s probably no one that will care for her that much like he did - she will get her insights what she has done... she will miss the time they both had, but much much later till she realizes that there is noone else just like him "You have no right to ask me now, you were never that around I have missed " Time passed, and she calls him again but he doesnt want to hear anything from her - he had missed her so much - it rip him apart and she didnt care - now its to late to go back. "Cold contagious, all the might mighty men What you save is what you lose out in the end " She saved her emotions, which means she did not invest into this relationship - she would always take and probably never gave any love back - she didnt want or wasnt able to evolve simple feelngs for him - this of course will come back to her, you gain nothing for just nothing. "Paint your perfect day, I don't mind this I'm better off by the way, deeply grounded " As in "You have no right to ask me now", he was able to forget about her - what she caused to him - that she couldnt love him enough - he doesnt care about her anymore. This is all i could think of - to sum it up - she wasnt able to realize what kind of men he really was, that he cared so much about her but she couldnt evolve any feelings, she finally sees her mistake after a few bad relationships and she wants him back, but alas its to late already. |

i listen endless times to the passage : "think you're changing, configurating destroyed the lines that fed the goods to your heart" And im 100% sure gavin does NOT sing "goods" it sounds much more like grace - so it means destoryed the lines that fed the grace to your heart. All lyric sides seem to have copied this because i saw this everywhere wrong |
