beautiful song. it was more beautiful before I realized that he was saying "Alan is a cowboy killer" instead of "alanizzacabakilla" though.
these are screwy posted lyrics. "caughten on" is far more likely than "cottoned on". there are probably other things ... I'm laz |

very creepy song. wouldn't be quite so much if it didn't make the explicit reference to serving as a juror in a censorship case. the whole thing smacks of brainwashing.
that's the crazy thing about BoC. they're all new-agey, but in a nighmarish "suicidal cults have rights too!" kind of way. wonderful stuff though. |

hmm, I don't have anything much to contribute to this discussion (which is impressively cogent, by the way). I just wanted to mention how sad I think it is that a song as awesome and beautiful as this, goes basically unnoticed by the vast majority of people, while "Float On" (which I consider mostly just obnoxious poppy crap) is constantly swooned over. it's a darn shame, it is.
and the crystal meth idea makes a surprising amount of sense. who knows. |

in responce to H2OGOPunx's comment:
I don't know much by way of Anti-Flag's belief-system, but it seems to me due to the references to "band" and "zine" that this is directed more towards liberals than conservatives (not that Anti-Flag is in any way conservative, though). They're trying to go for unity and openness in their own community (punk bands) instead of bickering over stupid, meaningless differences that come to nothing in the end. Much as 'Madcappunk' stated. Maybe I misinterpretted it, though.
Awesome song, anyway. |

I'm guessing that "California" (which appears only on the "Poop Alley Tapes", a compilation) was an early demo for "Barcelona". I personally prefer "California", although the two songs have _very_ different sounds and feels. |
