I live in Berkeley Ca where Op Ivy is from. I think this song was written about the sheep we refer to as punk kids who all hang out at a local club called 924 Gilman, where they started playing. |

I too am under the impression that this song is written about him moving out to Oakland from his moms house in Rodeo, CA. Anyone who lives in Oakland knows that there are the really wealthy neighborhoods, Piedmont, Rockridge and such, and there are the ghettos -West and East Oakland. I think Billie was living in a warehouse in West Oakland at the time. |

Stuart is a street on Berkeley near the local hospital Alta Bates and junior high school called Willard. I am assuming the Ave. part of the song is Telegraph Ave, a major street in Berkeley with lots of shops and restaurants. |

I live in Berkeley CA where the 924 Gilman club is. (It sucks anyway, it's a bunch of 14 high school wannabe goth kids) Last time Green Day played there a huge group of people tried to beat them up and some one lit their drums on fire! Same thing happened pretty much when Jello Biafra from Dead Kennedys tried to come back. It's a crying shame if you ask me. |
