I personally believe the nin version is better, both of them actually. If you've ever heard it live it's simply amazing. NIKKIE I find it hard to believe you've been hating nin sence he came out sence you'd only be 7. I say "he" because it's one guy, cept when he goes on tour. I don't find any shock effect with his music, if he was going for shock rock he'd of realesed the "broken" video he made (which he didn't realease because he wanted people to listen to the music). If you think it's crap then you're also not listening very well. The song's are masterpieces. Listen to the entire album "The Fragile" in order, and then tell me it's shit, cause if you do then it prooves you've got no musical taste. I also have a hard time relating the lyrics to johnny cash. The song is about suicide, if you've ever listened to the album "The Downward Spiral" it tells a story, and hurt is the song where the main character kills himself. I really can't imagine johnny cash with a gun in his mouth blowing his brains out. Sure he's had his hard times, and he is a living legend, but thid song just doesn't go with him. |
