sonicpudding - your interpretation best matches my own. I think this song touches on Armageddon and the second coming of Jesus Christ. It's said that Jesus will divide the faithful from the nonbelievers upon his return. I also see a connection between the Earth/mother representing Satan and the father representing God.
This song is so poignant and beautiful. |

hirotheavitar, I completely agree with your assessment. This is a gorgeous song and is easily interpreted from the christian point of view.
It's about someone doubting their faith, and thus compromising Jesus's love for the 'cold love of the world'. Deep inside this person still believes in the Lord but he's lost with fragile faith and therefore dying. He says we all are too, meaning those who don't believe in Jesus Christ. Those who don't believe will not have eternal life. It's a spiritual death. |

I actually see this song as being about two people who used to be in love. One of them is causing the other emotional pain and the other knows it's over, but she doesn't want to let go. She wants to leave her mark [emotionally] on that person so they never forget her. I agree with Jeckie in that it's sort of masochistic. |

I think this song is about allowing oneself to be controlled by your own dark desires. It's like watching a train wreck, you know it's happening but you're powerless to stop it. Sort of like being a slave to your own base desires and knowing it's wrong and maybe even wanting to stop but it's a part of you that you can't control. |

This song describes the despair of a love gone wrong and coming to terms with that.
Now I'm leaving this behind/ I'll erase you from my mind/You were never meant to be mine
It's so sadly beautiful. |

Not my favorite, but an excellent song nonetheless. I'd say it's best suited for live performance. |

The last line "Someone has to die..." is not from this song. As far as I can tell the rest of the lyrics are correct though.
This song is great. In the words of Christopher J. Kelter: "It melds classic '80s metal and a funky, swaying swagger that should manage to impress any heavy metal fan." |

This song is so amazing, I can't believe no one has reviewed it yet. To me it's about the dark side of human nature, and the atrocities we're capable of committing.
Also has an excellent guitar riff and solid backbeat that is great all by itself. |

Although the lyrics are a bit twisted, I think this song is amazing. The overall mood is just so beautiful and haunting. It's one of my favorites. |

This is a great song, one of my favorites. If you pay close enough attention to the lyrics you see that the one singing does in fact love the person he's singing about. He says that he doesn't love her and he lies. He treats her badly and says those things because that's what she wants from him. If he let her know how much he really loved and cared for her she would leave. It's a twisted relationship. All of this is apparent in the following lines:
"If you knew how much I loved you, you would run away
But when I treat you bad it always makes you want to stay." |

I love this song, as far as I'm concerned it's on par with 'I Wish' which is just another terrific song. As far as I can gather this song is about someone who made a fatal mistake, in a relationship perhaps. They lost the person they loved, but they still yearn for that person and would make the same mistake again if they had the chance. It's a bit contradictory in that respect.
Also the last line posted above (Someone has to die.) is not in this song. |

This is one of my favorite songs from this group. I think that the song in part is about a person who's dying inside and hides it behind a smile.
Someone who hides behind cheerfully over-forward mannerisms, and is forever subtly trying to put people off guard. It's camouflage. The person doesn't know why they do it, and they're begging someone to see through to the real them and just set them free. |

Gorgeous song. Also the one that got me hooked to the group. It's a shame they've broken up. |
