| Michelle Branch – Tuesday Morning Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Unbelievable, truely unbelieveable song. | |
| Michelle Branch – Hotel Paper Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
Ok, first of all some of the lyrics are wrong. Here is how it is in the CD booklet: i write mostly on hotel paper knowing that my thoughts will never leave this room i'd be out of line telling you, "leave her" so i lie lonely surrounded by you by you lately i can't be happy for no one they think i need some time to myself i try to smile but i can't remember and i know tomorrow there'll be nothing else chorus: and i wanted to be giving you everything that she's not giving and i wanted to see 'cause i didn't believe what i'd be hearing you turned out to be more than i bargained for and i can tell that you need to get away forgive me if i admit that i'd love to love you we both realized it way too late chorus repeats maybe this wind blowing in just came from the ocean i write mostly on hotel paper Truely, this is an amazing, inspirational song. I would agree that it is her most personal song. Actually, this new CD seems to be more personal for Michelle. Most of the underlyling meaning to her songs state the same thing. It's about the past, about someone she used to love but now he's all gone. Also, it's about her place right now, where she is headed and how she feels about it. I feel the CD proves that Michelle has grown as a singer/writer. There is a particular quote in this song that I feel is extremely DEEP. "Maybe this wind blowing in just came from the ocean" Just think about it for awhile, Michelle is an awesome writer. |

| Avril Lavigne – Day By Day Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| WTF! This is not one of Avril's songs. Especially for someone with a username such as "diepopdie044". I hope you're real proud of yourself. | |
| Avril Lavigne – Tomorrow Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
Ok, I'de just like to say that all you anti-avril people need to get lives! NEwayz, this site is susposed to be about what a song means and how you feel about it so here goes... I think this is one of Avril's most heartfelt songs on the album. Whenever I here it I think of someone that was close to me that has died. She dedicated this song to her grandpa that died the same day at one of her shows. It was so sad and I believe that this song belongs to her grandfather... |

| Eiffel 65 – Blue (Da Ba Dee) Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I have way to much time on my hands to finally figure out what the chorus actually said. I thought it was "I'm in need of a dime." Gotta be the worst song ever played on the radio. | |
| Savage Garden – Santa Monica Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Yah, I don't care what other people say about them. I just love their music- it's not like all that meaningless, disfunctional stuff that's out there now. | |
| Savage Garden – You Can Still Be Free Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Wow! I didn't know that. I guess I view this song with a totally different perspective now. This song is so soothing, I love Savage Garden. | |
| Savage Garden – Crash And Burn Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| No words can express how deep this song is. It's kind of like an excape from my stress and it let's me know that everything will be just fine. I wish that Darren and Daniel didn't have to go seperate ways and still continued to produce more albums...but oh well. | |
| Evanescence – Bring Me To Life Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
Just because the band members are Christian, doesn't make them a Christian band. However, the fact that they are Christian can influence their song writing, obviously they have this relationship with God. Anybody can listen to their music spiritualy if they wanted to. Personally I find it hard to think of their songs as being Christian. On an AOL session interview Amy Lee stated exactly what this song is about: Someone waking up and someone or something has changed that person's life. Essentially being woken up. Now you could say that God has woken her up, it depends on how you listen to the song. I think that many are confused because Evanescence is hard to be categorized and compared to with other bands. They are a very unique band. We can call them dark rock or Christian, it's a matter of opinion. |

| Evanescence – Going Under Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| I don't understand why a song played on pop stations ruins a band????? Am I missing the point here or something? | |
| Michelle Branch – Are You Happy Now? Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
Great song by Michelle! I love the attitude that comes from her. I was so excited when I first heard it and am anxious to see how her new album turns out when it is released. I know that it is a little more upbeat--it rocks on more. She is a great songwriter/singer and I feel that she will continue to grow musically. She can definitely not be compared to a "Britney Spears" recording artist! |

| Lifehouse – Empty Space Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
According to the CD booklet the lyrics are slightly different from whoever posted: instead of "take what you've left and forget the rest" its "take what you learned and forget the rest" Anyway, I'm going to have to say that this song relates to God. He is beautiful, confusing, illogical, and amazing. This song says it all! "Until you're everything-I have nothing-But an empty space"- life would only have an empty space in it without God. This is just my intrepretation to this song. I know that Lifehouse may not be considered a Christian band but their songs imply God as a part of life. Just read in between the lines. |

| Lifehouse – Stanley Climbfall Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| This song is clearly about life. I think its a beautiful song, not for the lyrics, but for the guitar. I also love how Jason sings this song--it's so calming. | |
| Lifehouse – Take Me Away Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
I definately relate this song to God and how important he is in my life. However, when I first heard Take Me Away, I thought it was a typical relationship thing but I kept listening to it and found that it had a deeper meaning. I believe that this is a very beautiful song. "This time you burn me with your eyes, You see past all the lies, You take it all away" Deep stuff...I love it! Although Lifehouse may not really be considered a christian band, I like the fact that they implied God in their music without preaching the gospel. This song is a prime example, we can relate it to God or life (or both)---it could go both ways but still leave us in awe. |

| Evanescence – Whisper Lyrics | 22 years ago |
| Yes, I'm determined to find out what the chanting means. Will someone please post it if you know? | |
| Evanescence – Going Under Lyrics | 22 years ago |
|
androphobic, i think the intrepretation of: "blurring and stirring the truth and the lies so i don't know what's real and what's not always confusing the thoughts in my head so i can't trust myself anymore i'm dying again " Is about someone in denial and cannot find the right and wrong thing to do about someone. It is about a person whom is hurting someone, but this person still loves him/her. Hence, this person is in a state of confusion. I really think that this particular part of the song is so powerful. I would have to agree that Evanescence is a genius. Basically, anyone could put any situation in their songs and relate to them. |

| Lifehouse – How Long Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I think that wbyeager is right. It's about wanting to know when the end is going to happen. That so many times, things described in Revelation have happened. But how many times will history have to repeat itself 'till finally "all we can say is save us". Until the word is finally completed- referring to Revelation. I think this is an awesome song to listen to. It certainly relieves stress as do a lot of Jason's songs. |

| Lifehouse – Just Another Name Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I love this song so much because it is so meaningful and true. The fact that it could be interpreted in your own way makes this song so great. Andahh, I believe is right about what this song means. However, I have a slightly different twist. He is singing about a girl who is faced with this identity battle. You go throughout your day showing your face and everybody knows your name. But to them you and everyone else are just names too. Nobody can see right through you and read your life story. "Everybody knows your name, But they don't know who you are, But to them it's just the same. Yeah, you're just another name." He accepts that she wants to change her identity to being famous. He emphasizes "crown" as royalty...to be popular. However, this will never happen and popularity is only within herself. "She said, "Fame will bring you down", At least that's what she used to say. Then I handed her another crown. She said it would never be this way." He tells her all the negative aspects of being popular with everyone that knows everything about you. All the responsibilities she would have to face- "Yesterday she was a little girl Pretending she was queen. Didn't know it'd change the world. Didn't know what this would mean." Now he is telling the girl to just be herself, the way he likes her to be- "Which mask will you wear today? How 'bout the one with a pretty smile? To you it's just another day In a life you haven't lived in quite a while." (this is my favorite part of the song) Now I'm going back to the beginning of the song. It already summed up the whole story. He is asking her if she learned a lesson from all of this. She has climbed up in ranks only to fall back with unhappiness. "These clouds around you break your fall As you came crashing to the ground. Did you learn anything at all? You climb back up to come back down." I think this is as close as it gets. I'm open for different perspectives though... |

| Michelle Branch – Drop In The Ocean Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
I'll have to agree with Hooby on this one. Although Michelle Branch can be classified as sort of alternative, her music is popular hence she is also classified as pop. I think that pop has definately been defined to so many people as Britney Spears style music that just say the same meaningless things. If that was the case I wouldn't classify Michelle Branch as pop. However, she has clearly set a new standard for the fact that she has her own unique style and writes her songs. This is exactly what makes her music popular. I would like to think of this as a good thing. |

| Vanessa Carlton – Rinse Lyrics | 23 years ago |
|
"She'd do anything to sparkle in his eye."- I love it! This song is so true. forkyfork, I believe, had the best intrepretation of this song; the need for love. "What could be worse than leaving something behind?"-that not knowing or being with someone could actually be worse than leaving that person in the end. "And as the depth of ocean slowly becomes shallow, It's loneliness she finds."-Then as things unwind, she is left with nothing. Again, awesome song! |
