This song can be taken many ways. For instance, it could be about how Corey performs his songs that he wrote from being depressed but he still feels like nothing at the end of the day. His deceit is that he shows his human side but he really doesn't believe that it's there. OR It could be about a relationship wherein he takes abuse for sexual favors and he pretnds that he's happy with it. OR It could be like a suicide note. He's telling the paramedics to just leave him as he confesses the reasons that made him want to hurt himself. OR It could simply be a private confession where he simply says that he feels this way and not to offer him false sympathys.
