| A Perfect Circle – Judith Lyrics

Whats funny about this song is it could almost work for Jesus and Judas, but not quite. Despite the name it could work. Jesus was betrayed by Judas, but technically Judas didn't kill Jesus. After Jesus Died, a guard shoved a spear into Jesus's side and only water came out, but still, it wasn't Judas. The part about "even though he's the one..." I think what everyone else said works, but this could work. I mean, the whole thing could be the Devil telling this to Judas and his betrayal of Jesus.
This version does have flaws in it, but thats what I thought the first time I heard the song. |

| Metallica – King Nothing Lyrics

I think what everybody has said makes sense. the part about the wanting of the star could mean that some people do want everything, even the unattainable, such as stars. But because many stars have died and all we see is light left over from many thousands of years, if not millions of years. So thinking of this "star" as a tangible substance is false, and then you discover that what you thought was real was fake and that you wasted time and your life on a mission to obtain nothing. |

| Rage Against the Machine – Guerrilla Radio Lyrics

Personally I like distorted Guitar. Another thing, many bands can start their own record label, like Les Claypool from Primus. RATM (was) is and always will be an awesome band! People can like and dislike whatever they want, so nobody should complain. But as humans, we do complain, we do fight, and just it's our nature to be this way. So when people don't live up to the ideals of a perfect society and follow blindly after everyone else, we shouldn't get pissed.
P.S. wasn't the whole point to discuss what the song was about? |

| Steely Dan – Pretzel Logic Lyrics

I think that this song is about the stand point of the French& Danish connection on sweet breads. I also believe this has something to do with the subconscience in how our own lives are twisted like pretzels and that nobody can trace where the original beginning of the pretzel began. Also the thing about salt on our pretzels is pretty much just suming up how people put salt in our wounds after a critical mistake. but this is just my view... |

| Tool – Aenema Lyrics

I always saw this song as a way to protest how much things in the music world, and in the real world have slipped away from the point of exsistance. It makes a lot of sense if you REALLY listen to it. People could practically study Enema for years trying to figure out what every part of the song means...either way, it's deep. |

| 311 – Down Lyrics

When I saw 311 live, just before they played "Down", Nick yelled out that the song was for the fans. Then I believe that he said that it was for all the original fans and what not. So...I think that is a good reason to believe it is about the fans, no? |

| Incubus – Drive Lyrics

the only problem is that this song kinda killed the respect I had for them. It is now just another pop song on the charts. before drive, Incubus actually had a hard edge to them. now it's just crap. I do enjoy the lyrics though. If only it wasn't so god-damn over played... |

Now thats not really the point now is it? Could Radiohead careless if you called them the band that did Creep? Hell, most true fans wouldn't care either, they listen to radiohead for other songs too. |

| Primus – Over The Electric Grapevine Lyrics

I think the song is about runnin' the boarder because of drug use. "demon puffing madly on a mentholated log" has to mean something. also it has the line: From all the candy, the seats were sticky. Which could be a metaphor cocaine. Plus with all the insane laughter that seems to be through out the song. It just seems to be about drugs. I could be wrong though. Songs are really just how you interpret them, there really is no correct answer. |

Captain Pierce is actually Les's uncle. That really doesn't do much for the rest of the song. But it does show that not every character that Les uses is made up. |

this song is the only song by Primus on the album "suck on this" that was never reproduced onto another Primus album. ever wonder why? because it was much better as a live song. |

Les Claypool has a style that is undeniable. Primus in general is an original band. No doubt about it. While the song "My Name is Mud" isn't for everyone, Les Claypool is still an amazing bass player. It all really is just a matter of opinion. This is still no reason to diss on other bass players or Les. |

I always found this song ironic, since it is called "the Antipop". but it is infact way more popish than almost any other Primus song up to that point. |
