This song is so awesome, I think it has a double meaning. I see people saying it's about her son Zion. The song is very Biblical though, it seems to have alot of imagery. The song seems to reenact the immaculate conception. It also her" joy is in Zion, she is marching to Zion", this could also mean the Gods Promise Land. Jesus the immaculate conception Zion. |

I have read the lyrics to the saong thoroughly, and I havent read any of the previous user comments. So this a purely my opinion...hahaha. Well after listening to the song and reading the lyrics, unless I'm unaware of some double meanings, I pretty sure the song is about suicide and the thought process that goes with it. Also, by the tone and instrumental structure of the song, it gives a nostalgic, melancholy, numb type of feeling. Good 90's song. |

I'm pretty sure it's about God, many of there other songs are spiritual as it is. And the music video portrays a very Biblical message. The love of God is infinately more intimated than the love of a man and a women. However I do see why this is confussing, the Bible does say the the love/marriage between a man and women is the closest imitation of Gods love. |

I like to nit pick at the meanings off songs. The Title "Elegy" means a funeral speech. So I can see that the song is probably about death. I also see by the lyrics that this death can possibly be untimely or tragic. Good song, deep lyrics and great instrumental. |

I think Astonishing said it best. I so agree, being saved, I read the lyrics to this over and over through out the years, and I honestly think that this guy found God. I don't think this song is more of a positive proclamation of finding God and how nothing in the entire world can fase him...and just incase anyone is wondering, I don't think he killed Kurt Cobain killed himself. |

Further is one of my all time favorite bands, and I was very disappointed when Jason left the band. I'm not gonna say that the new music is good or even okay, because it is not. For sure this song is dope, but I also must say that it can easily be misinterpreted. I think people might get the idea that religion (chrisitanity) is a bunch of hypocrite crap. Sadly, some christians are truely full of shit. God is the only one who has the power and authority to judge. Please dont misinterpret this song and think that christianity and the bible are a bad thing. |
